Finnie is only 17. Real shame for the defender. Lack of communication.
And then she gives away the pen and gets herself sent off.... nightmare.

Hibs go nap
Is it Kirsty Morrison commentating?
Missed the start of the game
5-0
Results stay the same and its a great night for Hibs. Thistle are behind at Spartans, Hearts beat, Aberdeen beat.
Very solid performance, strolling it.
Weather looks horrendous.
lockwood 2nd yellow hearts down to 10
FT Hibernian 5 Aberdeen 0, very good result against a side on decent form
looks like Montrose will get that 1st win of the season @ dundee u 3-1
FT Celtic 3 Hearts 2
Great win. Was only able to watch the first half and I'd never have predicted 5-0. Aberdeen were very much in it. Baucom looks a really strong footballer though and must be hard to stop when she's on song.

The derby was a big win and the Aberdeen player being sent off made for an easy win in midweek and makes for a much better looking league table.
Win at the weekend against Motherwell whilst Celtic beat Aberdeen and Hearts win or draw against Partick would take us up to 4th and best of the rest with 3 games left of the first round of matches. Think Partick and Hamilton at home and Rangers away, all in October, are those 3 fixtures. Hopefully 2 wins would keep us in 4th given Hearts also have Rangers to play.
P.S. Hearts have signed South Korean player Yeunn Park until the end of the season and have 5 players, who join 4 Hibs players, in the latest Scotland U23 squad. There are also 4 Glasgow City and interestingly only 2 Celtic and Zero Rangers players in the squad.
6 Rangers players and 3 from Glasgow City in the full Scotland squad but zero from Celtic, Hibs or Hearts.
Between the 2 squads it tells a story of players coming through at all teams in Scotland but once established they go to the big 3 in Scotland or down south and then the very best move to the big European teams.
Like the mens team Hibs women need to find a way of making money from the best young talent when they move away with sell on clauses etc included in the contract. At the moment we are just filling the talented player conveyer belt but not benefitting significantly financially.
I think the 23s has some odd choices.
Quite a few full internationals in there, not really sure what Harrison or Clark gain from being in it. Almost seems like a slap in the face. Would have been nice for Micky to get a nod, I know she's just back from injury but never seems to be any recognition.
*As an aside it's also mental Abinis still in a 23s squad given how long ago it seems like she left us.
4 Rangers. Docherty, Fife, Maclean, and McLauchlan.
Tbf having 8 SWPL players in the SWNT is not bad going and I'd say a sign the league is improving.
If you look over the last few years it's rarely been that many. The 2018 WC squad for example had maybe 6 SWPL players.

Who is on comms? Corsie?
Baucom playing well, Hibs the better team.
Uber poor Glasgow Women succeeded this season by uber poor Montrose and Hamilton.
Clubs losing games by Rugby scores makes the league look tin pot.
There are 10 capable teams in the top league. Should that be the league size rather than 12?
Is there any chance Queens Park or Kilmarnock will be good enough next season if promoted?
Great finish there from Baucom. 0-1
I can’t find the Hibs game anywhere. Find v Celtic on Iplayer
I've wondered this for ages.
Why do Hibs Women not have a goalkeeper wearing number 1? It's been like that for at least 3 or 4 seasons now. Is it a retired number or something?
Full time. Another win keeps up the good run.

That wasn't sport, that was a procession.
I'm excited and impatient to see the womens game grow as a sport in Scotland.
As for our team Hibs, Edinburgh City and the City of Edinburgh Council need to get a plan together to improve the viewing experience for spectators at Meadowbank. It is an unengaging arrangement at the moment. Seating well away from the pitch offering a worms eye view.
The current arrangement certainly killed Edinburgh City last season in what should have been an exciting new era for them.
That result was all on Celtic, they had the resources available but chose not to utilise them as they didn't see the value in it, so it most definitely was sport. It also differs from the Motherwell final, or the Montrose weekend result where you had/have teams achieving the absolute most they can at the time and still getting pummeled.
I agree about Meadowbank but Edinburgh Leisue don't seem that bothered, and also messed up the planning permission building of the football area. Just one of City's issues though
Very poor from the BBC, according to their website there are no fixtures being played today.
Which is funny given we've just beaten Aberdeen 6-2 in the League Cup
Monty at the game. Clearly keen to get a sense of every part of the club

Great result for the ladies.
Baucom on the score sheet again.
An absolutely fantastic result. :flag::flag::flag:
Decent draw for us in the quarter final of the League Cup, with the added bonus that either Celtic or Glasgow City go out.

Bleep!
Missed last year due to Covid and was looking forward to this year but I've already got something that day.
Should be a good crowd though, particularly with the men's team not playing.
Partick at home 4pm, could be tricky fixture.
The game's on youtube if you can't make it down
A quick look at the table after 8/9 games shows the top 3 teams already going off into the distance.
Hibs and Hearts equally predictably in 4th and 5th place with Partick Thistle again and an improving Aberdeen a few points behind them.
The other 5 teams are already tailed off with the bottom ones with massive negative goal differences.
Hibs need to win today.
New Hibs favourite Baucom has a great build for a player. Really looks the part.
Nice to see Hearts women enjoy a good old 2 nil up and f*** it up like their male counterparts.
Absolutely dreadful result for them 💚💚
Hibs Women currently 0-2 down v Partick Thistle

Full-time. 0-2. Watched last 20 or so minutes and Thistle looked the better side. Hibs hit the bar late on and missed another good chance, but poor result.

Wasteful and naive performance from the Hibs girls from what I watched, pretty poor standard sadly.
I watched the first half and really thought the hibee women would go to win. Hibs started poorly but were well on top going in at half time. I was surprised to find that they eventually lost by two goals as Thistle were certainly no world beaters.
Dominated the game, hit the woodwork 3 times. Not our day.
Despite it being a defeat, I think Hearts had the worse result given the opposition.

Er, not a great result today 😳
A classic Edinburgh derby across the city. Spartans 2-0 up and hearts somehow won 4-3.
FT's
Rangers 7 Hibernian 0
Spartans 3 Hearts 4
Aberdeen 2 Glasgow City 3
Hamilton 1 Montrose 1
Motherwell 6 Dundee United 0

I'm guessing Celtic and Rangers ladies are full time? Possibly Glasgow city too?
Bit of a doing for Hibs, hope the jokes do a bit better next week.
