In the way that they were ***** and we would have beaten them if we never handed it to them on a plate with an individual error?
Yet our goal was pure luck and meant as a cross.
I don’t think you can argue a draw was a fair results

Obviously disappointing to throw it away again at the end but some folk need to calm down. All the 'never make top 6 '....'relegation' etc....nonsense. We sre 4 games into the season...yes 4. If it wasn't for a couple of last minute **** ups we would sitting on 6 points, 6th place. 20 minutes ago people were praising the team for a much improved 2nd half and things are looking up. Lose a goal and we are rank rotten again. The overreaction is crazy. We are heading in the right direction but clearly mistakes will be made along the way.

I'd have taken a draw beforehand.

Yeah 4 games in and 10 points behind Aberdeen. Imagine after 14 games!
People would buy into the “yes we’ll get better as the weeks go on” chat if that was the case. But now 4 weeks in, the mistakes keep happening and we’re still not creating anything and conceding cheap goals.
People are quite rightly questioning what is going on.

You're right the table doesn't lie. Things will change. We lost our first 2 games badly. We drew the next 2 and really should have won. It's so early in the season and some are chucking the towel in already it's nuts. We are heading in the right direction (slowly) but Gray needs time and fans should give him that time without throwing the toys out at every step backwards.

I get what you are saying but there is mitigation for all you have said. Its like saying well Hearts are not making top 6 this year? All the teams 3 to 12 can beat each other. Just need to put a run together. I havent seen anything outwith the Glasgow 2 than are considerably better than us so far.

Killie threw everything at that Euro tie on Thursday which will have taken its toll on them but nobody can honestly say we deserved to beat them. A draw was fair, as was the draw against Dundee. We weren't unlucky in either game. In fact if anything we were lucky not to be out of the game by HT against Dundee.
We're just bang average/borderline c**p right now.

Some positives yes, but we still don’t create anything for our forward players. The lack of creativity will be our downfall.
Myks chance was out of nothing.
Newells goal/cross was lucky
Triantis created his chance for himself .
Apart from them we never had a chance and certainly didn’t create any.
And that’s against a team who have just played a game in Thursday night while we are fresh.
Throw in the continuous individual errors and it’ll be a long season.
When Boyle and Rudi played like they did today its difficult to create much up front.

No denying Aberdeen 4 out of 4 but the luck the have carried so far....you're right there is little between the teams and as the season goes on that will be more obvious. Too easy to take a snapshot after 4 games. FWIW Aberdeen were poor yesterday, County missed a pen, disallowed goal etc.

Hearts' dismal start has been the big (but pleasant) surprise, granted. They'll toil to get third now with Aberdeen already 11 points ahead.

I think our leadership is clueless and I’m unconvinced by the manager. I really hope he comes good and wish him nothing but the best. Despite how I feel about the window and our weaknesses I’m taking Mackay et al at their words and waiting to see how we get on with our 11 new faces.
But can we please dispense with the ‘if my auntie had baws’ stuff? There’s no three points for leading up until the point you concede an equaliser. One played and one point from it, not terrible and not great. The ball is literally in their court…

Killie playing in Europe has impacted on their league form, same as us last year. However, while they've been playing in Europe we've been getting beat by the mighty Kelty so I'd say they're a better side than us right now. McInnes is too good a manager to have them down at the bottom for long.
Not seen anything from Hibs so far to indicate we've recruited better than, say, Aberdeen, Dundee United and Motherwell, while St Mirren will likely pick up now they're also out of Europe.

Well only 3 spots to play for..
Aberdeen - Celtic and Rangers make top 6.
So Hearts - Hibs - Dundee - Dundee Utd - St Mirren - Well - Killie - St J and Ross County..
So far out of those teams in head to heads..
St Mirren- 0 points
Dundee - 1 point
Killie - 1 point
Still a long way to go but we need to start beating teams and not chucking away points. Could easily be on 6 points and sitting in top 6 and much more ahead of Hearts / Dundee and Killie but we aren’t.
Hearts fans raging with thieir start and talk is sacking Naismith. Hibs are only 1 point ahead of them!

These things can become self-fulfilling if repeated enough. Other teams know before a ball is kicked, if they keep the score close with 10 to go, Hibs will collapse like a cheap suit and give up the points. Hibs players and manager must absolutely dread the final 10. It's now become survival exercise for Hibs, fearing their own shadows, mistakes and cursing their bad luck. Everyone from the ref to the media, the players, managers and fans know Hibs weak-willed, panic-stricken players will choke in the end. If it wasn't us, it would be funny.

I wish you hadn’t mentioned Jack Ross. I’m trying to forget that our troubles started (and continued) with the premature sacking of Ross. Yes, he had a tough time when he left us but I think that was due to the thump to his confidence that Ron Gordon bestowed on him. Gordon admitted that sacking Ross was a big mistake.

That was as physically and combative a Hibs starting line up as I’ve seen perhaps my whole life
A lot of big guys in there, we weren’t bullied by a McInnes team like years gone by and were relatively solid. If that’s how this year is going to pan out then we will be mid table and do fine. But, as our Achilles heel has been for many years, going into last few mins with only one goal lead (or level) leaves you open
With Youan due to come into the team (even though you feelhis heart is away from us) then that might help us going forward. Boyle….hmmm huffer and puffer, not a creator
Like I say, this is fine….probably best we can hope for after last few years. A big brute of a team.

Cool.

You asked who is better than us, I gave you the current league position. That may well change - let’s hope it does - but on early form you have the answer to your question.
Surely you can see the flaw in that reply? Are Bournemouth and Forest better than Spurs? Or Man Utd? Are Brighton better than Arsenal?

Bowie needs to start against St Johnstone. He's actually our player and, if I'm honest, I think he's better than Myko (outrageous shot aside)
Big Myko can't seem to make the ball stick. Bowie gets stuck is just more suited to our league.

A club that will continually let you down, can’t be many with the success rate of Hibs. If you were a betting man, you’d make a fortune betting on Hibs in play.
A worrying trend the late goals .. sure it happened at least 10 times last season

Just like you then, refusing to acknowledge anything positive, anywhere or anything to do with Hibs....nothing. i take the opposite view, so what. Cant believe folk having a go because i think the team we support will come good. .....Of course i see things from a positive side of things....this is Hibs.net is it not.
No, I see the very few positives and admit we’re not very good.
To say we’ll definitely finish top 6 after what we’ve witnessed so far this season, you’re either stupid or blind.
Be optimistic yes, but there is absolutely nothing to say we’ll definitely finish top 6 and people disagreeing with you have plenty reason to back it up.
Whereas you have blind faith.

I didn't see the game as was working so will reserve judgement for now. Do see Obita getting a lot of flak again however. He's not had a good start to the season after being player of the season for us last season in my view. I don't think Cadden was signed as a natural left back so we really need cover in that position. Surely MM needs to be looking at what's available in the free agent market

Iredale is a left back.

Didn't realise Gray had been in charge that long?
Didn't say he was. But if that's the league form that is dire and while the window says we are trying to change it, you could.say that of the two previous windows (at least). That was utterly rotten today. Someone said earlier in this thread the first half was up there with the worst they have ever seen. I'd go along with that. All 22 players looked as if the ball was about to explode.

Don't know if it has been brought up but not sure how unlucky or otherwise we were. Couldn't score though Triantis was very unlucky and some effort from Myko. Only found ourselves a goal up thanks to a cross ending up in the net.
The first half was brutal from both teams. Second half was much better and should have won the game by courtesy of that fortuitous goal.
Frustrated and not good enough but were real signs we aren't far away from being an effective team.
Ekpiteta I thought had an excellent game and Bursic never put a foot wrong. Kwon and Triantis were good in the middle

There is no flaw. You are as good as your form, that’s it. You don’t get points for ‘but we’re notionally better than X, Y or Z.

We aren’t creating enough chances. Jury is out on Mykola aswell for me, he looks far too slow.

Can play either. Has played more games at left back than centre half in his career. He should 100% be in for Obita against St Johnstone.

BBC rekindling the 'Hibsed it' thing.
For me that's not what this is. We're not dominating games and throwing them away at the death, we're simply not good enough to hold on to a lead.
You shouldn’t expect Red Top tabloid soundbytes such as that from the national broadcaster.
Kind of childish drivel that the likes of McGlaughlin would be wheezilly chuckling at. Be best keeping the BBC at arms length and just deal with the sensible journalists out there.

Should have cashed out when it reached £60😂

Skysports highlights though there’s nothing shown on it of the tackle on Miller which I still think could have been a red card .
I’ve watched it a few times and looks like the Killie player has taken a bad touch and Ekpiteta has him covered. , still for the life of me can’t understand what Obita is playing at  ….

So this is the first season wince 2002-03 that we've failed to win any of our opening four games. We finished 7th.
It's also the first season since 1976-77 that neither us nor Hearts won any of their opening four - we finished 6th and they were relegated in 9th.

If we finish sixth and Hearts are relegated then that would be a pretty fun season.

Two things no serious person accesses the BBC for - sport & politics
Listen to the BBC & you'd assume Hearts are sensational & Brexit is not the reason we are all 10% poorer than when we in energy-rich Scotland were inside the world's biggest most lucrative international Single Market
