I agree with parts of this. It looks to me like some of the players brought in so far are not of the required standard.

I said it last week.

The issues around fitness and work permits aren't going to disappear. What we have tonight is close to what we will have for at least the 1st 3 or 4 games. Yes we may have another couple of bodies available but they will be well behind in terms of match sharpness.

Realistically we have a solitary game on Sunday now to try and get guys minutes before the league opener. An away trip to Perth is a tough one even when your preparations are ideal. With a partially assembled and underprepared squad it's a bit of a nightmare start.
