He’s the kind of player who might struggle to be genuinely creative against weaker teams but might be invaluable when it comes to remaining competitive in tight games and snuffing out stronger opponents.

Like a few players we have had, he shouldn’t start every week but might be very useful on occasion.

Yeah I've agreed, looked terrible for us, but has had a couple of good games under Maloney, an a lot where he's been just average nothing to shout about. He seems to cut inside a lot more under Maloney and seems to suit him better.

I still would've had Hendo or jasper who can also play there instead before the match but he did well for a goal and had a good wee moment just after it too.

Hopefully we dont start sitting deep and the plan is to bring Jasper on to run at tired legs later in the game, hendo aswell. Stevenson now able to come on for anyone who's looking tired in the centre 3. full back or centre mid lol. is Demetri Mitchell injured? Couldn't see his name listed even on the bench or Doidge either.

Edit: Until we finally saw Clarke play for us, albeit he did score an important goal, I always thought he was coming to be part of a back 3, I remember reading him saying he can play at the side but didnt realise in the wing back position. Thought He'd be where doig is and vice versa... But I'm no a manager so what the **** do I know.

Started well then completely fell out of it after 25 mins.
This is not a good hearts team though so with a bit more believe going forward we can win this.

Sort of sums up our season. Struggling going forward, some nice moves to get through in on their defence but then squander the opportunity by slowing down.

Decent performance but awful defending from us for their goal. Hanlon was worst but Rocky was poor as well. Should have backed up his teammate rather than standing off in no mans land. Hanlon had a good game up until then. Rocky has been very uneasy as usual, his footwork with the ball always has you panicking.

If we make 4-5 really good signings in the summer we have the makings of a strong team. Some of the interchange and build up from the back has been good, we just need to learn to make it result in an opportunity rather than viewing getting past their press as a chance to take a breather.

You would expect the home side to come into it a bit - it’s just annoying we haven’t got a 2nd goal.

Wright was doing well so bit annoying he had to go off. Looks like hamstring injury also.

The thing is how we started was good as we pressed well but don’t think the players have the fitness to do that.

Not sure why Doig didn’t block shot for the goal either - kind of turned his back but obviously Hibs should have just cleared the lines before that.
