I don’t claim to be seriously in the know, but I understand that some of the players preferred for it to be at the HTC due to the familiarity with the surface and surroundings , and if that’s the case, I think their wishes should be taken into account.

I was at the Rangers league game a few weeks back and it was 4-2, could could have been easily 6 or 7, so the players are maybe right in playing them there again and bring back some bad memories for the wee Gers :greengrin

Yeah, fair point, they are trying to stretch across two teams, but I understand that the team Rangers put out a few weeks back in the 4-2 game was a strong one. I expect the cup match probably will be tighter.

Oscar training with big team, Ethan came on as sub late on, he had not done much training this week.

Another good result for the boys last night, that is their 11th clean sheet in 18 games. Rangers beat Celtic last night at home, but the hoops are still bottom on the league so would not read too much into that result. A few changes to the 3G pitch at East Mains in readyness for next weeks game, the Gers were desperate to play at ER but Hibs stood firm. Should be an interesting game but expect Hibs to progress to Hampden.
as for the CAS Elite U18 league, Gers are still top, with us second but still six games in hand, Dundee United, who looked early contenders have fallen away. Most of the others teams are still taking point of each other.
Busy month for the U18 with 8 games in March, playing every Tuesday and Friday. If you can, I would recommend getting down to see them, a very settled team with lots of fine players.
Should also have mentioned they are still unbeaten at this level in the league and cup.

i just registered with Recast, it’s bafflingly confusing.

I also assumed there would be a cost, but when I ‘reserve my place’ or something like that for next Friday, it says I have earned 100 something or others.

If there is a cost, they are keeping it quiet at the moment.

It’s a nice thought, would probably come down to how much time someone would have to do it. The site is very deliberately independent from the club so I don’t think we’d be in a position where they’d be creating content for us.

My thinking was perhaps a news feed, a sub forum where a link from hibs would appear on a sub forum for hibs youth. Not much a request from the club to ask for given the previous and continued financial support from here

I love reading about the youth team and upcoming players, it should be show cased more on here, your financial contributions appear on a thread and within a day or two its gone. The site contributors deserve more recognition for their financial input to hibs youth, its not a big ask for a wee link or sub forum

I’ve seen a lot of them and I’ve seen plenty more positives it has to be said but they’ve choked in their biggest game to date.

A place in Europa Youth League is more valuable for me though and they’ve got a great chance of that.

Yeah it showed. They usually get the ball down and play some nice stuff. Today they allowed Rangers possession and when Hibs got it they played long and tried to turn Rangers.

Baffling given how well they have done. We had nothing to fear.

Very disappointed with the performance. Done nothing to change things when Rangers were dominant. Crying out for fresh legs & a change of formation. Wait till we’re 4-2 down with a few minutes remaining, then make 2 subs!! Very poor coaching.

seem to remember there being high hopes for him, and him leaving was seen more as there not being space in the first team for him rather than not being good enough, maybe got it wrong in my head :greengrin

He was in a batch of youngsters that signed new deals last January, you'd assume the deal was longer than 18 months. No details on the length of contract in the article. Trsfrmkt has it as May22 but they are often wrong with youth players.
