I've literally just received another email from the club with the title 'Let's try that again...correct entry times for tomorrow's match!'
This time it has staggered entry times up to 19:45.

Not yet no. I had just been using the email address we were advised to use.
The email auto response advises me that they have my email and asks me not to resend the email to help them out as they are so busy so I'll stick to that for now and see if they contact me today.
I know on Monday my email came through after 6pm.
Sending an IM to Kieran might help also as someone else suggested. Good luck.

The capacity of their ground is 3 times the size of ours so we might have been allowed 6,200
Our next European game isn't until 5th August with our 1st league game a couple of days later.
If we could get 9,400 into those we would probably get all season ticket holders who want to go in.
Double what we are getting in for Thursday but it is more than doubled from last week.
Covid cases holding at 1600 for a few days now and positive tests down to 6% so looking decent.
Hospital cases start to fall now and we could be on track.

I'm not sure how people are doing the calculations for how many fans they expect at each subsequent game. I don't think you can just compare ground capacity and take a percentage, that's fine if people could teleport into their seats, but there are other factors need to be factored in, access, circulation space, facilities for food and drink, toilets. No 2 stadia are the same, Easter Road is enclosed once inside the turnstiles, tynecastle stands, main one apart, are quite more open. That might not be the best example, but I would be surprised if these things aren't looked at.
I wonder what input the Covid Recovery Group has had into the assessment.

Edinburgh City Council have hardly covered themselves in glory over this issue. We obviously do not know what guidance has been given by the Scottish Government.
The rules seem baffling to me. Why can you not buy a cup of tea in the stadium or anything else without getting a prepaid voucher. Surely contactless debit cards could easily be used. I can go to a local café for a pot of tea and a bacon role but cannot do the same at Easter Road. Why?

I'm hazarding a guess but it might be to help the catering to have right amount of items, and so everyone isn't queuing in a confined space.
I expect contactless will be available in the future once restrictions are all lifted and there are no restrictions on the crowds.

Apologies both, just seeing this now after work - the @ functionality doesn’t provide a notification here.
I’ll speak to the Communications team about future game specific information (hopefully not long that we all need to navigate obscurity and complicated guidance).
15minute intervals per turnstile/block from 6pm onwards tomorrow night. This should create a staggered effect. Stewards will direct to a queue for access right up to kick off.
Much like last week against Arsenal, turn up in reasonable time to gain entry. I wouldn’t want any supporter missing start of the game because of a socially distanced queue.
On the subject of kiosks, how it’s operating tomorrow and short-term is not how it will be post-restrictions (packs only, pre-payment, vouchers, no in the moment purchases etc) but doing so in this fashion tomorrow allows it to operate at least.

The ask on bags is a request more on no rucksacks, bigger bags etc,

The West Upper does not have the facilities to cook chips, no fryers up there so they all must be purchased in the West Lower before going upstairs.

Guessing it's a combination between not being able to search them and larger bags in aisles can be a hazard in the event of fire evacuation ie trip hazard if people leave them/drop them in aisles. I actually thought rucksacks, etc. were already prohibited, I'm sure I had issue before when I was meant to be getting a train after a game.

Not Hibs related but I see the St Mirren fans are going daft as they’ve only been allowed 1,039 for Sunday’s game which equates to less than 13% if their stadium capacity.
Local authorities or clubs really should start explaining the numbers better IMO.
I’m sure there’s a logic to it so why not explain it 🤷*♂️

Not if 2,000 people doesn't allow for suitable distancing requirements.
I think there's an argument that 2,000 people could get into SMISA Stadium but they weren't automatically entitled to it if people can't physically distance.

Thicko of the week award goes to me. Work text me earlier about my return to work tomorrow from isolation - I’d miscounted my days, thought I wasn’t back to work til Friday as tomorrow was my last day isolating, so I’d no be able to go. Wrong! Logged on my ticketing account about 4 and there was no seats left. Logged back in for w other look after my tea and I managed to get a ticket in the West Upper block 12! :greengrin
Only thing is and it’s no big deal but for some reason I had to pay £24 instead of £20 even though I’ve got a season ticket, but I’ll not lose any sleep over it. Will honestly probably burst into tears when I’m first at my seat and looking out onto the stadium tomorrow.

They've got every right to be outraged if they feel they've been hard done by. Seems the Councils are applying different rules to what is essentially the same issue. It shouldn't be difficult to have a standard across the board percentage per stadia attendance with a few caveats in place.

You know, you've hit the nail on the head here. People would be far more accepting of the limits if the reason for the numbers (access, distancing limits, need to close stands whether related to rules or just not financially viable) is what's missing here.
In the absence of factually accurate information people are just filling in the gaps with their own theories and/or conspiracies.

Ronnie seemed to think progressing from 500 to 1000 and odds seemed to justify a 13% stadium attendance now that we're in level zero while other clubs are increasing their stadium attendance percentage to way more than 13%. Any answer to that question?

I have no idea how it's being worked out now.
Clubs can now accommodate 2,000 fans without needing to ask the council or Government for more.
However they must still adhere to social distancing measures so clearly if their stadium only holds 2,000 seats they're not going to be allowed to have a full stadium. St Mirren's stadium holds just over 8,000 seats so the authorities must not think the required distancing measures can happen with any more than 1,039 people in attendance.
I've got no idea how they arrived at that though.

I think one thing being missed is that safety certificate is required from the council. At the moment the council is looking at more than normal for a stadium safety certificate.
Look at Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs, very similar stadium capacity but quite different number allowed just now.

I think the responsibility to stage the game lies with the designated home team, regardless of country level restrictions.
Is Turkey on Ireland's red list? If not that's where it will likely be played.

"Should either side fail to meet the stated deadlines they could forfeit the home leg 3-0"
What if both teams do? 3-3 on aggregate, ET and pens in some airport car park?

Turkey have a population of 85 million people and had 8,000 cases yesterday
UK have a population of 68 million people and had 44,000 cases yesterday
We appear to be way more poxy than them and went into a free for all on the 19th July
Don't think the tie is until 5th August, surely a dispensation can be arranged.

Yeah I often find parking a bit further away is better and walking that trying to get really close.
Learnt that the hard way when I tried parking on Marionville Road a few times and had to sit in the queue whilst those who used Sainsburys got priority on the roundabout.

It’s Britain’s red list though mate, Turkey never asked to be put on it, that’s a decision our government made.
