Our defence has been a bombscare.
I wonder what fans miss sometimes.
Miles off it. Great performance front to back.

Derek mcinnes being very complimentary to us, have I entered the twilight zone?
Craigan also said we were a good team at one point. Then the room started spinning really fast and my Gran walked in but she died in 1977. Found myself naked outside Jenners and the pedals on my bike would only make it go backwards.
Then I heard him say something about the even-ing up of decisions and I was back.

I've witnessed plenty of offside goals against us over the years so they should wind their neck in.
Tbf Mellon said we still probably deserved to go through.
The match stats will show that we didn’t need that offside goal to win the game.
I’ll take it, for sure!

I'm still trying to work out if that's good or bad.

OK if it was ruled out result would be 1 nil rather than 2 nil. They couldn't, didn't score!!

Mackey in two minds nearly lost us a goal.
Macey's fault? Away!
He made the right decision in the end, he would never have got to that ball.
Just noticed that my comment upset a few. I still stand by it and, for the record, I am completely behind Macey’s inclusion and would keep him as first choice for the rest of the season. I just thought he made the wrong choice and got away with it.

Hibs and SNP double.
Life is good.

Superb team display. So happy we got the semi final bogey off our backs. Also great to see McGregor coming on for Porteous towards the end. Love that guy. He's such an inspirational player to come off the bench and will never let the team down.

Ok, but what was Boyle’s involvement. I saw it as a simple case of Macey coming out to intercept ...... he hesitated and gave them a scoring chance.

Ok ... didn’t see it as that. I still think that Macey could have been more assertive there.

I see Hibs have put up the pitchside highlights. They're even better than usual, though I'm not sure about Newell's celebration after Nisbet's goal! [emoji848]

Will be avoiding watching the final on Premier Sports at all costs so I don’t have to listen to him.

This is growing arms and legs now.
"The Welshman was clearly two yards ahead of the Tangerines backline as he ran on to Martin Boyle's pass"

What's it going to end up as? I'm going for at least 10yds.

Correct.. at first I thought it was a clear yard but it's not even that. The linesman should have called it but it is a lot closer than I first thought when you've to consider all 'goal scoring' body parts.
Nowhere near 2 yards anyway. Still a poor one to miss from the linesman as I say, although I didn't even consider it being offside when it was live.

Brilliant. The most un-Doidge like Doidge finish ever. Even better that he was offside. :greengrin:wink:

Two yards sounds like yam spin. For balance they should mention the other goal he should have got only for very poor refereeing

I'm the first to defend officials having to make split second decisions without the benefit of different camera angles, replays, etc., but there's no doubting that the linesman should have done better in that instance.
However, Doidge is maybe 2 feet offside. For the EEN guy to report it as "clearly 2 yards" he's being either ignorant (ie. he doesn't know what a yard is) or dishonest. Either way they should stop publishing crap like that.

Is there anywhere local to purchase a hair shirt to wear for the rest of the summer?
You’d think it’s the first time anyone’s ever been marginally offside to score a goal the way they’re banging on about it.

Firstly, I am delighted that they are all so upset by this decision. It makes a change for us to be on the fortunate side of a poor decision. Doidge was undoubtedly offside but the margin of offside being mentioned is ridiculous. When you start comparing distances on the basis of still photographs or video stills, distances can be exaggerated wildly. Even in the photograph here, it’s very possible that, when Boyle’s foot first came into contact with the ball, Doidge, while probably marginally offside, was nowhere close to the margin they are claiming. The relative distances covered by the speed of the ball and Doidge’s momentum can be manipulated to suit the argument. Anyway, it’s academic water under the bridge and we’ve booked our day at Hampden whether they like it or not.
The bitterness and seethe is superb. Forgetting the fact that we were actually 1 up and in control!
FWIW a Utd fan at work thought they were terrible and praised us and commented that the movement and build up to our goal was superb.
They were the polar opposite against Aberdeen and expected a lot more.
Gave us plenty of credit
