Not clear what that means. If it was 20k just to cover additional costs then that seems outrageous and certainly not what Hearts were paying. Basically it would kill any deal.
If it means having more fans than normal to cover extra costs then it needs to be carefully considered. We need to start playing in front of fans when we reasonably can. I think away fans are unlikely to begin with. Will be more than Hearts paid maybe due to extra costs involved in making the stadium bio secure, keeping fans safe, etc? Anyway Leeann did say that, suggesting we may not want to go down that route, given we may make a big loss each "home" match.

Yeah but we had 13500 season tickets sold. We're 4500 short of that number, might be around 3500 short the time the season starts. No chance we'd get 6500 pay the gate punters in for each game. First home game we might as it will be a novelty but after that I doubt it.
For all people are itching to get back to a live game there could be an equal number who don't care for Murrayfield. Guess it depends on the restrictions in place. I'd most probably go cos I've got my season ticket but would I be inclined to pay £25+ on the day. Not sure...
The 4,500 people that haven't renewed their Season Tickets are additional potential walk-ups. They're just as likely to want to attend the game as the people that normally buy single match tickets (perhaps even more likely, in some cases)
Also, I'd be absolutely amazed if there were more than a handful of people that refused to attend a Hibs game just because it was being played at Murrayfield, and not Easter Road.
I realise that the club might, in the end, decide they don't want to take the risk of playing some games at Murrayfield (depending on how much the SRU are asking) but I honestly don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that it might be cost effective.
You have to take into account as well that, if it was cost neutral (i.e. no extra profit to be gained), that the club might just opt for Murrayfield as a way to reward Season Ticket holders for backing the club in it's hour of need.

Never said anyone would refuse. Said may not care for it depending on restrictions in place and still stand by that. I'm still failing to see that if we can't get 16500 at Easter Road for most matches and thats including away fans in normal conditions (groups allowed, buses ok, pubs open etc etc) - how we'll somehow end up with 16500 at a quarter full rugby stadium at the other end of the city, with increased ticket prices, potentially reduced bus time tables, potentially reduced parking the way the city is going, potential mandatory facemasks, potential queing at daft oclock to get in, potentially no groups etc etc.
The Poles last week started opening stadiums to 25% of capacity. I'd rather see us going down that route. Think I read Austria are allowing crowds of 10,000 from Sept 1st? Hopefully not to long before we're back at ER.

I have a hard time imagining social distancing being maintained at all times in a football stadium. It's fine while everyone is sitting down, but what when the game ends and everyone is in a hurry to get out the stadium? Or even when someone in your row needs to go to the toilet or decides to leave before the end of the game? To me this has to be all or nothing. I have renewed my ST and I'd rather watch on Hibs TV than the club ends up losing money renting Murrayfield.

I think if we have the one of the ugly sisters from Glasgow at home in the first couple of months we will play there. But I do like the idea of playing there and selling tickets for walks up. Surely we could get a decent crowd and try and break even.

Try and get 4K walk ups paying £25. That would be £100k. Must be about what the costs would be.

I think if against a team with half decent away crowd could potentially make a profit. Obviously social distancing will have an impact. Will be interesting to see how the fixtures computer randomly selects the games  given what appeared to be an agreement the first old firm game would be as late as possible so more chance of crowd being allowed. Wouldn't want to miss some of the bigger attended games commercially due to no crowds allowed.

The average price would be lower than that, maybe about £18, so would need to be a bit more people, or a lower rental cost.
My personal opinion is that we could get ~5,000 walk-ups, other people disagree. Nobody knows for sure
As is obvious from my previous posts ;), my preference would be to use Murrayfield, but I trust the club to get the balance right between the interests of the supporters and the cost to the club.

Can see us selling 10,000 season tickets by close of play on July 3rd.
If the club can subsequently rent Murrayfield for the start of the season a further 2,500 folk could be persuaded to buy season tickets and another 3,500 would come along as walk ups.
6,000 extra tickets at £18 a pop is £108k per game which would more than pay for the rental.
More importantly the extra season ticket sales also takes away the risk of those same 2,500 folk waiting until January to buy a half season ticket, becoming a game selective walk up from then on or worst of all drifting away completely from actively supporting Hibs all of which will cost the club a lot of cash in both the short and long term.

I have renewed my ST and I'd rather watch on Hibs TV than the club ends up losing money renting Murrayfield.
Getting people in and out of the stadium is the main issue, you'd have to ask people to arrive really early and you'd need to leave row by row almost similar to school children.
The matter of someone going to the toilet during the game wouldn't be an issue, the time it took for them to pass would be so minimal your at less risk than you are passing someone in the supermarket (unless they coughed on you as they went by).
Were it to happen I'd imagine masks would be mandatory and that in itself leads to issues as you'll have folk who refuse to wear them and then aggravation between fans about it. You're also giving the badly behaved an excuse to cover themselves and be more difficult to identify while making a nuisance of themselves.
Stewarding costs would almost definitely increase both in number required and in their rate of pay so it's another reason why it may not happen.
Like most things related to the pandemic there's no easy answer and people have a lot of differing ideas about what is and is not the right thing for others to be doing so there's a potential for bad scenes in the crowd. I don't envy the decision makers in this, my preference is we are a bit more cautious. I think you could do it with 10k season ticket holders and only allow them in but walk ups and away fans need to wait in my opinion.

I would give it a try in a different browser. If you weren't already accessing it in Google Chrome, I'd try that first – as the most popular browser it's the one that developers test against most, so it's least likely to run into compatibility problems with a modern site.
Otherwise, from what I've read on here the Ticket Office have been good in helping people having trouble with V12, so try them?

Thanks.
I was using Chrome, so don’t think that was to blame?
I got another email from V12 at 6.06 this morning saying I hadn’t completed the credit agreement.
Yeah. I knew that!!
So instead of using the click through button, I copied and pasted the URL and used Firefox instead.
Result - success!! :greengrin
Thanks again for your suggestions.

I can't quite believe how well the fans have supported the club through this pandemic, i honestly thought we'd struggle to sell many season tickets for this coming season.
When i heard we'd probably not see fans in the grounds for quite a while, i genuinely thought we'd struggle to sell 2 or 3 thousand at most.

Previously, there has been small window of opportunity for seat moves (3-4 days) given a few days after the early bird deadline before general release is open.
Much the same this year I believe and advice will be given next week (expecting middle of it). The Covid landscape will impact how it is done and what options the club has to make it work smoothly.

Is it just a renewal deadline today folks?

Website won't let me select a seat, 0844 844 1875 Option 1 is down for 'an emergency' and Option 2 is saying ring back
Advice welcome
I've just had a look and there's still quite a few seats available, and I managed to select one.

From the how to buy page
If you are an existing season ticket holder and would like to try and relocate your seat, please purchase your existing seat as normal and get in touch with the Ticket Office prior to the 4 June deadline via
[email protected] advising if it is possible, where you would like to be moved to. When seat release comes off, we will freeze the seats for a few days and allow any possible existing season ticket holder relocations to take place

6th of July 2016 when Hibs were in the championship we were closing in on 10k season ticket sales. Ok this was the championship but we had a team to go and watch we knew we would be at Easter Road Road we had just won the Scottish Cup. We have now surpassed that number and nobody knows when we will be back in the stands, some people buying don't know what the future holds when it comes to their jobs. We should be very proud of where we are right now.

Yeah I didn't just mean ahead in the number of season tickets sold, I also meant ahead of our rivals on the park. The fact we have sold so many must place us miles ahead financially except in comparison with Celtic and Rangers.
A big statement's been made by the fans and hopefully the club can step up to the plate and really push on for 3rd place, which is where a club of our size should be more often than not.

With everything being directed to the first team, you’d like to think so.
Aberdeen probably look the strongest outside the uglies IMO. Not sure if their owners are planning on pumping any more money in. Given Hayes agreed to defer wages for a year you’d think not, to the playing side at least.
I know there has been a bit of talk about Utd but I thought they were poor when they played us. Don’t think they’ve strengthened yet and don’t have a manager.
I agree, we should be making this count against the rest of the league.

Last minute change of heart too,
Really grudged paying for a season ticket for games we probably won’t get to attend any time soon, especially losing out on last seasons ticket too. And having a gripe about the recent price hike for the FF Upper exec seating.
But having had a season ticket for best part of 30 yrs, nows not the time to give it up so renewed this afternoon. GGTTH

10,000 in these circumstances is nothing short of incredible. Chuck in the folk who are also contributing through HSL and in the near 145 year history of Hibs has there ever been such a demonstration of affection for or loyalty to the club from the folk who support it.
For my part I only want one thing in return from Hibs .... I can't recall this ever happening, but just to be clear, after this never ever let me hear anybody connected with the club refer to its supporters as 'customers' because if we have proved one thing over the last few months it's that we are far far more than that, and that goes for any other club whose fans are doing the same as us.

Its like free advertising when the press run these articles and would obviously incourage folk who are dithering and also a wee thank you to the 10k plus who have bought them

I’d imagine that we will be selling online tickets to away fans for games at Easter Rd that are not on Sky. Wonder how many sales we can get for the likes of Aberdeen , Killie, United at ER. It would seem possible that we would sell more online tickets than the amount of Away fans coming to ER. If that is added to say 12k seasons plus some Hibs day ticket purchasers . Could we be having audiences no far off our average home gates if 16/17k

This is the bit I'm not quite getting, was it not that you couldn't sell more tickets that you had season tickets for last season or something?

Presume they are just working their way through the big pile of emails for the next 2 days.
Cheers, that's helpful, no doubt hear more soon.

Really Hibs would only be able to sell up to 13.5k tickets for a non Sky game at ER? What a crap deal with Sky if that is the case?
Interesting covid angle there too - surely this arrangement might encourage gatherings of more than the permitted number of households to watch games if so

Think it’s the opposite, I think we can only show it to that amount of fans FOR sky games, so that everyone else has to watch sky itself. It wouldn’t be of any benefit to sky to limit the fans that can watch non sky games.
Still to be confirmed of course, but would make perfect sense.

I emailed on Friday and was promised a call. I need 4 seats so it might be difficult for them but I’m sure it won’t be any easier if they keep doing others before mine!
Maybe just me but didn’t notice a peep in the media about us breaking 10k for season tickets. Funny it didn’t make the BBC Sportsound Hearts love in pod cast or weekend shows. I think the EEN referenced it.
I am expected a big piece on Hearts breaking 8000 tickets and how wonderful and loyal the fans are blah blah blah.

I renewed our family (5) seats in April. Emailed club last week to see if it was possible to move my granddaughter's seat next to us. It was 8 seats along.
Received a reply saying someone would be in touch this week.
Email arrived yesterday to say her seat had been moved next to the other 4. Excellent service from a much maligned ticket office staff.

It’s actually 5pm tonight mate. This from the out of office I got back:
For supporters wishing to purchase season tickets, these will be available to do so online when Season Tickets go back on general sale on Wednesday 8th July at 5pm. This includes new season tickets and also for supporters who missed the deadline to renew their seats. All seats are now unreserved and remaining availability will be visible from 5pm online on Wednesday on our E-Ticketing site for all supporters.

Has anyone tried logging on to the eTicketing system lately? I renewed my season ticket on the first day of sales, and when I click on the “Account” tab it says “Memberships: None”. I also don’t see any tickets to manage or any reserved seats. I also can’t seem to get past 30 second previews when I log in to Hibs TV and it says I need to renew my subscription. My payment is being taken from V12 every money however. Anyone seeing anything similar when they log on?

Found this very high resolution image of the East Stand, which is great for plotting any seat move:
https://images.app.goo.gl/XYVNnRxDbqdDi9fB8
We know that seat 1 is to the far left as we face the East Stand, and seat 232 is at the far right (ie Dunbar end).
Row A is obviously obscured by the hoardings. Can anyone tell me - in terms of Row D and its interaction with the disabled section - if it is the case that there simply isn’t a seat D1 - D60-odd, and the Row D numbering after the disabled section thereafter remains sequential with Rows A-C? To put that in some context, by way of example is seat D100 immediately behind seat C100? Thanks!

I’m sure D is below the walkway (we have four rows, one hidden in that picture as it is at ground level), so think it would be E that is the row behind the disabled section.
How it is numbered, I’ve no idea unfortunately. Would think it would follow the numbers of the rows in front though, as when you come out of the concourse the signs that point you in the direction of your seat are always the same.

The rows go AA at the front to about PP or QQ at the back. I guess there might be some specific places where there's no row AA for whatever reason, but generally AA is the front row and BB is the second.
Before I moved away my ST seat was row AA in the West Upper, best view in the ground IMO.

There's definitely an AA in the West Upper.
Maybe they were thinking of the West Lower, as that starts with row B (row A was removed when the East stand was built and the pitch moved slightly to the west).

Due to the present uncertainty, I wasn't going to renew this Season but when push comes to shove then I will do my duty.
By now, I've probably lost my regular seat in the west upper but the online season ticket purchase facility seem to be unavailable at the moment.

Fantastic service from the ticket office staff. I e mailed them an hour and half ago saying that I had changed my mind and now intended to renew. Half an hour ago a member of staff phoned me back saying that my seat had already been allocated but offered me a replacement in the row in front of where I was but nearer the centre circle.
That will do me fine so I paid for it there and then. Almost 10500 now sold according to the guy who phoned me.
