We are in need of a whole new defence, new central midfielders, left winger and new strikers come the summer.

For me, the worrying thing is that the Yam weren’t good, they were just full of fight like they used to be.
We either couldn’t be arsed or couldn’t play football, depending on which player we’re discussing.
I’d fine Allan and McNulty for that tonight.

Hearts were the better team on the night. A supine, spineless, pitiful display from Hibs. Boyle and Rocky the only passmarks from the starting XI. Stevenson and Hanlon awful and should never play in a back 3 again. Past it. Midfield was dire. Omeonga shown up as one paced. We were outfought all over the park which is sickening .
The only plus is that it’s a wake up call for the semi. Ross must make sure we aren’t as awful again.

Is the game corrupt?
We need them in the premiership like or not. Amazingly they need points so we gift them a minimum of six this season.
This won’t be popular but well done Hearts... you looked like you wanted it more than us.
No, and no we don't need them in the premiership. Aberdeen did fine without Rangers or Hearts.

Based on that we can’t possibly be that bad again.

All about the semi now for Hibs, they’ve put themselves under massive pressure to get a result and only have themselves to blame
Bottom line tonight is that you just cannot trust this Hibs team. Been the case all season, continually losing or drawing from winning positions, and now tonight. This team WILL get the manager sacked unless he sorts it out.
Note to Ron. Fix the elephant in the room before you start decorating the stadium.

I thought he was fine for an hour. Then his legs went. Hardly surprising as he was the only one in the middle three who was putting a shift in.
Jackson was ok, and Boyle carried a threat without actually making anything happen. The least said about the rest the better.

Time for Ross to re-vamp our defence - 1st thing tomorrow he should introduce the defenders to 'Tackling' ! If they ask what it is, he just has to explain it's the opposite of what they're doing just now which is escorting opposing-players down the wing/through the middle without putting a foot in !

What a dreadful interview that was. Taking no responsibility for being completely tactically outdone. The penalty was the turning point?! No, it really wasn’t. We were beyond lucky to get to half time level. Let alone with 11 men. Really worrying that he won’t acknowledge how inept that was. More worrying if he genuinely doesn’t know it.

Good managers will quickly learn, the majority of others just believe they are good and find excuses.
This was even worse than the Hampden games IMO,.especially as it's a level playing field now

I think he would have given the players a different assessment. I found myself on a stag doo with John Potter just after they got the Sunderland gig. He says Jack is cool, calm, collected and measured most of the time....but if players muck him about he absolutely goes through them.

That is our worst result in the post 2016 Scottish Cup era. Not a single player gets near a pass mark. We didn't even manage to get into first gear - we flooded the engine at the start, left the handbrake off, rolled backwards down the hill and went off a cliff. Absolutely appalling performance.
Luckily, this team have shown under Jack Ross that we are more than capable of putting in a performance, but to not bother showing up tonight is utterly criminal. That result feels completely gutting as we are so much better than that and should be putting teams like Hearts to the sword. But no, they outfought us and 3-1 was flattering.

I’ve never criticised any hibs player apart from tonight but Hanlon and Stevenson are finished.
Stevenson is so predictable, hearts were happy to leave him open. Boyle got the ball and he was double teamed.
Scott Allan is my favourite player but he has been ineffective for weeks. He’s the Scott Allan of other teams, not the hibs Scott Allan we all know.
Omeonga had a poor game but he’s not had much of a chance.
Hanlon and Stevenson though need dropped ASAP. Bring Daz back and hopefully newel is fit soon

You’re right about Hanlon and Stevenson but McGregor isn’t up to being a regular first choice player either. Either way, I’m not sure I can face watching Stevenson **** up crosses and throw-ins for much longer.

They came for the smash and grab, and did it... our heads went down and got caught trying to rescue the game. Can’t blame Ross for that... they stifled us, same as they did rangers... nobody wanted the ball in the midfield and therefor we couldn’t okay our game... if someone in the midfield had tried to take control and maybe ride a few bad challenges by them then the game wouldve been different. Instead we treated the ball like a hot potato. Stevenson can’t play wide left either... he spends most of the game playing like a LB and we are missing the balance that Newell brought going forward.

We looked more like the team that came for a smash and grab than they did. I can’t remember us even registering a shot on target until we scored. They were the better team from the start and looked like the only ones that were going to score whenever they attacked.
