That was my thoughts too in relation to maybe opening up the ends of the west and east to family tickets, there's none left in the FF lower and if you've got say....3 kids it jumps from £75 for all 3 in the FF lower to £405 for all 3 in another part of the ground.
Opening up two tiers of pricing in stands would lead to people buying the cheaper seats and sitting in the more expensive ones. It would possibly work if the £25 tickets where extended to west lower at famous 5 side, with the stand being divided by the tunel area there wouldnt be many options to move.
Dead against the east becoming family ticket freindly, would wipe all atmosphere from the stadium.

The whole ground could and should be family friendly. Having family groups spread around every stand at Hampden didn't kill the atmosphere did it? There's plenty of kids in the East already.

You think?
Kids should be £25 in all stands or the family pricing zone should be increased dramatically.
I don't think having the family section in the east would kill the atmosphere at all. The atmosphere would just come from a different part of the ground (FF stand ideally)

The reason that there are no tickets available is that the non-renewals from last season are not available as yet. There will be tickets available this weekend.
The problem is that if the £25 child tickets are extended to other stands this will potentially cost the club £50 per ticket. Restricting the cheap tickets to the FF Lower will at least cap the numbers that have been sold at that price. It might encourage people to book earlier.
Besides there are enough empty seats in the FF Lower as it is without exporting it to other stands.

Think other seats are available now. I tried for three in famous five on Friday but told none available . Tried again today and have now been able to secure 3

Like leeann said, building the club back up from the ruins of two-three years back and this is a sign of it. Get our place back in the top league and competing with cup wins, and hopefully some more trophies, and we do have the potential reach that figure

Well done, I hope everyone who can afford one and can get to most of the games does the same. The Hearts fans rallied round when they were in need and although we're far away from where they were, I think Hibs are in need of a huge boost from the fans to get them out of this division. Lennon needs every extra season ticket he can get to boost the budget. :aok:

Renewed for the first time since 2010 the other night in time for the payment plan, but could only get a seat seven away from my pals and the row infront. Noticed on the interactive plan since that seats closer to them have become available. Do you have to phone or go into the ticket office to move seat or is there a way to do it online?

If it was like buying petrol going from 9999 to 10000 will take ages but we would be more likely to go straight to 10001. After that we may as well aim for 15000.

If you don't reach a set target then it is "failure" regardless of the amount you fail by. That's the problem with setting targets.

The whole Target10k is a clever piece of marketing, doesn't mean to say that's what they've anticipated. Telling the fans they are targeting an achievable figure encourages them to convince others to buy and helps to convince those who are undecided.
They may anticipate we'll sell a lot more than that as news of new contracts, signings etc gets out, we don't know.

You can try any marketing campaign you like to shift tickets but there's only 2 that really work imo.
The 1st is having a successful team on the park. Winning the SC took care of that and being favourites for the league with a new high profile manager in places takes care off that.
The 2nd is creating a buzz and making a ticket seem like a must have. The general vibe around the sales on places like here, the Bounce, the Facebook pages and Twitter is all helping with that. There's a few guys in my work bought for the 1st time so I think that buzz is out there in the real world as well.
We'll sell 10K easy.

Your logic is entirely flawed here, setting an achievable yet high target is clever marketing, when if anytime have we ever hit 10k STH's? If we have then it's not been too many times, we also just came off the back of a Season were we only had crica 8000...if we get 9k it'll be a big improvement, ifnwe get 9.5k it'll be a huge improvement and if we get around the 10k it'll be an incredible jump, given the Cup win and the new manager I think its a highly achievable target but given how many we shifted last Season it would still be a real boost for the club.

Can someone explain why an adult family season ticket is £335 and an adult ticket is £380?
This is obviously for the FF lower, but why the difference and what does the family ticket get that the adult one does not?
Whats our record for Season Ticket sales ?
I remember we had about 11k with Mowbray / early Collins era. Crowds across the game were generally stronger given more money in game and Scottish teams doing better in Europe with better players attracted to coming to Scotland c2006-2007.
Not sure what our average crowd was but that should be a good indicator.

I purchased one because of the 5-1 final for the 2007-2008 season 😀😎

I remember we had about 11k with Mowbray / early Collins era. Crowds across the game were generally stronger given more money in game and Scottish teams doing better in Europe with better players attracted to coming to Scotland c2006-2007.
Not sure what our average crowd was but that should be a good indicator.
Our average crowds were around the 14k mark then 👍

Way it is progressing, yes but things change. It seems that yesterday, there were good queues and the phones were busy so will be interesting to see what that pushes the figure to. Hopefully, it will continue on the same vein for a while

Of course it is if we get the right players in. If fans believe we are going to be successful, they will want to be part of that.

I also think seat availability comes into it. If folk want decent seats they get forced into buying a ST if the uptake is high. I think that's one of the reasons the PBS is selling so many seasons. If you don't buy one there you won't get to go due to it's size. Demand always breeds demand, so keep buying them folks, your club needs you 👍🏆

Assuming we meet the target, then win the Championship, how many ST's can we expect to sell for our first season back in the Premiership? I'd say between 12-14K.

With all the caveats that they can afford it and make it to the games etc. We can go through 10k if we all sell this vision to the people who've stopped buying one or could be first time ST holders. We can do this 👍🏆

If we can hit 10k before we sign Commons it would be amazing. Then Kris arrives, holds the scarf, mentions the training centre & we change the target to 11,500.
Thats achieved, then the process repeats when Stokes 'The cup hero' comes in and we make it to 13,000.
You heard it here first.
TBH considering where we are than 8,000 is a great achievement! We will break the 10k barrier and once we have made a few quality signings it will rise!
Anywhere up to 11k would be phenomenal! I reckon first signing will be unveiled along with the new Shirt!!

Out of my main circle of friends only two of us went to the final, they all have great stories of the pubs they watched the game and the atmosphere after the parade in the self same hostelries, never even bothered to walk out into the street to cheer the boys, I despair, especially when listening to the excuses, obviously now the manager again, along with Petrie and Farmer. The Club would not have announced it as a target unless they were 100% confident it could be achieved. They will have data on when supporters renew/buy season tickets. Hibs supporters tend to be notoriously slow to renew.
I have been in the same seat for the last 4 or 5 years but have rarely renewed until after the deadline. Sometimes it has been just before the start of the season.
A couple of marquee signings could make 11,000 feasible.

Er, no...they have set a stretch target, in the hope the cup win, new manager and a few signings bring back some of the fans...there is hope, but no way they will be 100% confident. I would imagine most who plan to renew will have done it by the end of next week...will be interesting to see where we are..10k would be a fantastic achievement ...

I think we will reach 10,000. Amazing number for the Championship. My Celtic supporting mate from Edinburgh wants to buy a season ticket at Easter Road now. If only we could show ambition all the time and make signings or hold on to players. The Scotty Brown era where we sold the whole team was a huge opportunity and we could have filled ER. But anyway we learn. I would like us to close the West side of the West stand and cram 13,000 of us into the rest of the stadium.

I seem to recall a lot being sold the season after the new West Stand was opened. This was on the back of third place in the League and a Scottish Cup Final appearance. In less than a year, McLeish and Sauzee had gone and Blobby Williamson set about reducing that number.
Easter Road was rather more full in the Mowbray-Collins era. Hibs averaged 14,587 in 2006-07. That was before the East Stand was rebuilt and they had to open half the South Stand for Category B matches and even offered season tickets there!

I think the other clubs shift about 2,000 each. In Ross County's position, that's pretty phenomenal, and to be fair to the rest, represents a decent percentage of their population.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge on what sounds a brilliant idea to engage children with the club! What was it like last season? Is there generally 100% usuage of all the season tickets?
One of our group is currently pondering on accepting a job offer in the states and was talking about donating his already renewed season ticket to the club to give to someone deserving. If you need adult tickets donated aswell I'll have a word with him and see if he is up for that. (All dependent if he leaves which if your reading we aren't trying to replace you already 😂)

No problem at all :aok: Basically, the Club offers season tickets in the East at a discounted rate of £75, under their Kicks for Kids scheme (started in 2002) but you have to purchase two - one for the child and one for their parent/carer. I set up Leith Links so one-off donations could be accepted, pooled and then the corresponding number of tickets purchased (I figured most folk could afford £5 or £10 but not £150! :greengrin) at the start of the season. Last year, I purchased 152 and that's up from 22 in 2013 so the increase in donations is remarkable and testament to our fellow Hibees generosity :not worth
Your idea sounds great but unfortunately, there is no provision to accept STs for another part of the ground. The child would need to be supervised, therefore another ST would definitely be required, plus Hibs sit everyone together who uses a KfK ST in the North side of the East and the groups/charities generally get more than two tickets to use.
Thanks for thinking of Leith Links though and should your friend feel generous, he could make a one-off donation, if he wishes. GGTTH :aok:

Lets keep pushing the ST campaign and smash Leeanns 10k mark
Hopefully if Lennon pushes the boat out and brings in some exciting signings that will push even more folk to sign up.

FAO FrankSuzy, thanks for the information glad there is something out there for the young Hibees, keep up the good work!
Your friend could maybe get in touch with Hibs and ask for a refund on his season ticket and donate it to kicks for kids on the basis that the money will still be going back into the club in the form of kicks for kids STs rather than a regular adult one?

I think this will be a deciding factor for some people.
Affordability, pay day etc all comes into it of course - a lot of people spent a lot of money following Hibs last season and might be a bit short of cash for a season ticket right now.
But why wait to see what signings Lennon makes? If you can, the time to step up is now.

I also think once the new season fixture list comes out, that might encourage a few more to decide.

There are tons of stories ( no doubt all false) about it being bought at the start of the season and only handed to the supporter at Christmas!

The updates were every few days last week, would be nice to get an official updated figure.
Good marketing would be to keep telling us we are almost there, say, 9834 and to keep pushing to get people to buy, when in reality we are way over the target already.
Still nice to know where we are though

Yet, just a few weeks ago it was promotion or bust for many Hibs fans :greengrin Not enough saw the potential of a Cup win and the impact it would have on sales, feel god etc. In fact, very much doubt NL would have joined Hibs had we not been able to tap into the benefits of winning the Cup (Europa, increased ST sales etc).
How many today, would choose routine, forgettable promotion to the Prem over what we all experienced on 21 May :greengrin

Said at the start of the season I would take the Scottish over promotion. Never waivered even when it got to the final weeks of the season. Totally appreciate why others wanted promotion more but the Scottish was always my priority [emoji471]

the budge will have to get new plans drawn up for the new sir ronnie corbett stand at tincastle, sheer panic amongst the gorgi gimps support if it can't hold at least one more person than the ground where the scottish cup champions play

And you know what, fair play to them, and to us. Rather than them constantly having a dig at us and us finding reason why so many are buying their ST's, we should maybe just applaud the fact that the 2 main Edinburgh teams will have around 25,000 season ticket holders for the coming season. Plus any Edinburgh City can sell.

Yeah you may be right but the fact remains that despite their high season ticket sales they are expecting pledges over and above to continue at a high level as well whilst funding a Premier league team, paying back budge and funding a new stand.
Something has to give in this time of austerity imo.....what will it be?
Finn2015

Have to begrudgingly say that is good and puts them clear in third with season ticket sales. Hopefully one day when we are back in the top league we can reach that sort of figure

As long as they are performing at the level they set last season, ie third or better, then they will continue to buy season tickets and contribute.
Just as I hope we would in their position.

10 K should be attainable - a nice weekend and Monday could see us almost there.
Would be nice to think about 11 k now.
Tynecastles capacity isnt great though is it? They have to leave seats for away fans so they must have a cap on STs which they must be getting close to? This will be a factor why they are selling so many this time too. No ST no matches. Still well done to them as much as it makes me feel a bit sickly saying it.

I think they announced the other day that they had sold 13,700, so were gonna sell another 300 and that would be them at maximum.

I will be very happy if we can breach the 11k barrier for all our home games . lots of pay at the gates must be in with the new ST's, and when we play Falkirk ,D.Utd , and possibly the Pars we could be over 12k but the smaller clubs travellers wont make much over 500 or so.

DBS - remember there are in fact 400,000 of them - it is just 14,000 who can sign their name
12000 STs for a championship team is a far greater achievement than 14000 for the top league.

In recent years Hearts have had significantly better crowds than us - there's no point in getting worked up about it. While it has generally been the case there are a number of reasons why this has been particularly pronounced in the last couple of years. We could go over this but I find the tit-for-tat over crowds a bit crass to be honest. Having said that, I get that we are rivals and both sides will take any oportunity to get one over on their neighbours. I'm surprised that Hearts have maintained enthusiasm this season but credit where it's due.
Hibs can only keep doing what they're doing in terms of marketing and reaching out to the fans and hopefully with the cup win, Neil Lennon and (please god) promotion, we will start to see continued progress in the numbers that attend. We would of course be delighted with 14k season tickets but it's not going to happen right now. The fans are out there but, as it stands in our current circumstances, 10,000k+ would be excellent. That's 10,000 people who have committed to a third season in the second tier, fully in the knowledge that there are no 'Category A' games this time around and there is no danger of missing out on a ticket if they were to decide against it and remain a 'walk-up' supporter. It's a big endorsement of what the club is doing IMO.
