Trying to book 3 available seats in the east but keeps coming up error. Its letting me choose 3 in the west though. Strange

I'm getting the same error I think. It won't let me buy tickets in the east but it will let me buy them in the west.

I keep getting this error message:

WE'RE SORRY!

There has been an unexpected error. Please return to Ticket Home to browse again. If the problem persists please contact customer service.

When I purchased tickets I couldn't get three seats together in the area I wanted. It's now showing as sold out - I'll be a tad miffed if on the match day there are loads off empty seats in the middle off the East Stand!

Right now, you'll be miffed, a tad ... :duck:

As stated looks like 2400 to sell still.

So stadium holds - 20,421 - 2400 - so around 18,021 which if we break 18,000 will be best since 1994 between the two clubs at either ER or the pink shed.

Still a decent crowd - hopefully we can see another 400 at least before Sunday -tomorrow night's result will help if we get 3 points :agree:

A win tomorrow night and we'll shift at least another 1000 or so, to watch a glorious Hibernian victory

I was getting the same error message with most seats in the East, but just gave me the chance to buy two seats together. Unfortunately I phoned the ticket office last night and asked them about the ticket situation, the reply was that whatever was online at the time was all that would be available!
So I just booked anything that was available there and then. Now these seats have been released, anyone know what the chances are of switching if I give them a ring first thing tomorrow morning? Or cancelling and rebooking?

I would think that we have not sold many more than 15000 excluding corporate. There are about 4000 seats left. The front 3 or 4 rows in of our stands are not available online and I guarantee they are not sold out. The crowd on Sunday will not be much more than 17000.

Probably already been said somewhere in this thread but a £4.50 booking fee - essentially a 18% markup on the £25 face value of the ticket - is daylight robbery IMHO.

[QUOTE=JimBHibees;3426563]I think you are right, I think there has been a mix up with who should get cup top up and who shouldn't as my seats were never available to be bought online even though I bought season tickets after 13tpril[QUOTE]

I think you're correct about a mix-up, I renewed after 13th April , but early enough to get 2 tickets per season ticket for the Cup Final. So I shouldn't be entitled to a CTU, but I received my new season card with CTU on it and there are transactions on my online account history to show the Yams game has been processed.

I phoned the Ticket Office on Monday to check and was initially told I wasn't eligible because of not renewing early enough However when I pointed out the transactions in my account history they confirmed that I had been credited with a CTU and that my card had been activated for the game. They didn't really understand why, but just said "enjoy the game "

This is the same with me, i definately didnt buy my season ticket in time for a top up yet the guy at the club shop said that my season ticket was covered for the game. I hope i do get in, going to spend the equivalent of the ticket in the club shop before the game anyway to make up for it as it was money i was more than willing to pay for the ticket anyway! anyone know how the sales are going?

Update........................................

I'm still not convinced that those figures will be accurate although they are probably more accurate than they were yesterday. Looks like some season ticket holders seats which were being held have now been made available online. Bear in mind that there are also about 1,400 seats in the west stand not being made available on-line which are I believe corporate/hospitality. I've come to this figure on the basis that the west stand holds approx 6,400 and only approx 5,000 seats were available. Similarly there are approx 320 of the big leather comfy seats in the FF stand not available for sale online.

There is also a possibility that seats in the first couple or so rows in each stand are not available for sale. Don't know whether this is true or not. Some folk on here saying that they've purchased seats at the front and others who say that they are not able to. Anybody's guess on this one.

Anyway for what it's worth this is what is now remaining

West Stand 1,262
Famous Five 890
East Stand 310
TOTAL 2,462

Still about 4 days to go and a good result against St Johnstone on Wednesday combined with fans who may be waiting to be paid could see a late flurry of ticket sales.

Any season ticket holders without Cup Top Ups who have not bought there own seats by this morning have now had their seats released. There are now a number of good seats available in both the East and West. As of thirty mins ago there were approx 2400 seats in total available in East, West and FF. If you have not got your ticket yet, get down now for a decent seat.

Although I doubt the section along right at the south end of the east is actually sold out. Maybe not being sold to put a bit of space in between the fans.

"A Cautionary Tale
Having posted earlier about the ease with which I got my tickets, I now have a different tale to tell.

I went in with our 2 ST's and asked for 4 tickets: our 2 and 2 nearby.

The lad scanned our ST's, and told me I only needed to pay for the 2 guests as we had the Cup Top-up. I was delight, because I didn't realise I was entitled to the CTU, and left the shop with my 2 tickets.

The Miller's Wife, being the disbelieving sort ( :dunno:)went through the web-site, yesterday, and attempted to buy tickets for our seats. She found out that the seats were avaliable and could have been bought, by us.

She e-mailed the T.O. and they replied saying there had been a mistake, we weren't entitled to the Top-up but we could buy our seats over the phone and get them added to our cards.

I reckon about 15,800-16,000 tickets have been sold to joe public, and will sell another 700 or so over the next few days. Add in 300 corporates and I'm guessing an attendance of 16,800 to 17,000.

More seats have been made available.

East – 102
West – 1313
FF – 1102

Total - 2517

The attendance at the derby in August according to the Hibs site was under 13,000, and i thought the atmosphere in the Hibs end at that was good. Add another few thousand Hibs fans onto that and should be class!

one day maybe...

My seats still showing as reserved on the ticket page.

I even phoned Hibs to tell them I didn't want it and had bought for elsewhere so they could release it. The seats either side of mine are free but my seat is showing unavailable so I thought if i.let Hibs know somebody looking for 3 seats together could have benefited.

The sales for this game seem to have been a bit of a shambles.

Exact same as mine. I emailed to ask what was going on but no response. I wasn't due top up seats and bought seats elsewhere as couldnt buy my seats on system. Agree about the shambles. Why are seats still being added to the system 3 days before game and 5 days after deadline for season ticket holders to buy?

This basically a bonus game to make some decent dosh this season and seems they (system/Hibs/TM??) have made a bit of a mess of it.

No, I did.consider that as well.

However its not just that the seat is showing as unavailable, its actually in the my reserved seats section of my online account. I even tried checking it out in case I'd ****ed up and was actually due a cup top up but when I got to the checkout it wanted £25 from me. Removed it from my basket and it reappeared in my reserved seats again.

I'd be amazed. When ER's capacity was 17000 we didn't sell it out for every derby and that was with far higher average crowds than we're currently getting. Regular Hibs attendance is just creeping over 10000. If we get 12000 Hibbies in a 16000 crowd I think that would be good going tbh.

The team need to bloody well make sure they all want to come back!

I know nothing of the online stuff, not really interested as I stay close to the holy ground, but it sounds like a good thing for people outwith Edin. however, the reserved seat thing was a farce, was it not?. why wait so long to release seats? a week would have been fine for anyone who insisted in getting their seat. why cant the club be honest/transparent with the amounts sold? is this some sort of marketing ploy? if it is, it aint working and it is more likely to put people off ,than buying.

Correct. Some fans were either having to sit in sections of the stadium that wasn't their first preference or even in a different stand. Some may have decided not to bother going and just stay at home or watch the match in the pub. Why it has taken the club so long to put the unsold tickets back into the pot is beyond me. Season ticket holders shouldn't had so long to claim tickets and hopefully Hibs will learn from this fiasco. Good job it was never going to be a sellout.

Well it's all bit daft then. Surely having an online facility is designed to remove the pressure from the ticket office...if you are saying that there is thousands of tickets available that can't be bought online then the next time there is a big match they can expect even more people at their door or on the phone.

I bought tickets last week and couldn't get enough seats together in the East so bought them in the West. I would have much preferred to be in the East and to be honest feel a bit miffed that by buying early and doing so online has resulted in me getting less of a choice than if I had waited until yesterday and taken up the ticket offices time by phoning or going to the office in person.

Sure I'll survive but none the less it all seems a wee bit of a farce...it's not like the club doesn't have experience in selling tickets for a football match!

I'd give the ticket office a wee phone if I was you. This happened to me before the semi final last year, where I phoned the TO only to be told that my ticket was waiting for me there. When I arrived, they then said that they had sent it, and that because they had proof of postage, they wouldn't refund me. Long story short, I ended up paying for a second ticket. I simply do not trust the staff in the TO!

Alas I've never been a pro footballer but I'd imagine the difference in running out in front of 12,000 home fans and 16,000 home fans for a game like this would be significant in terms of feeling of fans being right behind you.
So this checking the ticket sales is a healthy obsession for me (insert smiley) as I want the team to feel the love (ditto :)).
Lest we forget the last ticket fiasco pre a big derby. There were other circumstances, ie injuries, but we were beaten before we got on the park as the Hibs fans who were there were looking around going 'where the f is everyone else'. In part (IMO) this transmits into park and added to our fragility that day.

So as big a crowd as possible please, insert nodding smiley.

As for databases and having to get tickets from ticket points then handing it in at the turnstile, WTF.

It happens to me EVERY time I but a ticket online. Apparently the system automatically loads the transaction on to your card even though you've elected for a paper ticket. I had a couple of occasions last season when my card was supposedly loaded with the correct information but when it came to the scanning procedure at the turnstyle the transaction did not show up.

If you received an e mail confirmation then I suggest you print a paper copy and take it with you to the game. Hopefully that will be enough evidence but you'll probably still need to argue the case with the stewards!

Technology is fine ---------------------- when it works.

That's happened to me a few times as well, and likewise charged the £1 on this occassion. Normally have to go back to the ticket office for them to print copy tickets of the ones that should be on the card.

The membership card and everything that goes with it is fine if executed well, but don't think that's the case with us at the moment. Sure the club will be working on it though.

Don't know if it's Ticketmaster to blame for automatically loading tickets and charging postage, but the level of service provided by them in general is terrible. Hate to think how much we probably pay them for such poor quality.

Absolutely. The twice I have managed to use my ST this season the first card has been rejected (why is there two anyway). Train of thought lead me to the conclusion that should the second one be rejected I was going nowhere and sorry to the guys queuing behind me.

Just had a blether with Ryan McGowan. He asked if we were confident, with a big smile on his face. THEY are confident!

The figures are that Hibs have sold less than 12,500 (including Cup top ups and hospitality), Hearts 3,500 meaning 16,000 maximum at the game so far.

There are still plenty of spaces available in hospitality if anyone is interested. 0131 656 7073 (like the number!). This could be your way of boosting Pat's finances for the January window. As Tesco would say "Every little helps".

I think that for once and for all this puts to death the myth that cut price tickets will fill the ground. Lowering the basic prices by £3.00 per head really hasn't made any difference to the attendance at all.

I presume you will still have to be on the database. If not there might be a few Saviles trying to get into our end.

IIRC you will have to be on the database and have purchased a ticket for a "B" category match previously.

I'm maybe having a  moment but why?

They'll be able to mock us for not selling our tickets but of course they're too thick to realise that it also means less income for themselves.

Thought maybe the number 1690 was significant. Perhaps the number of times they have appeared in court since Vlad temporarily saved them.

Think so, they asked me for a client reference last time I bought a ticket from there

Anything above 16000 will be a good atmosphere.

Time to stop counting and beating ourselves up!

16,000 would be a completely embarrassing attendance for a derby in the Scottish Cup

How many would be at the game if it was at Tynecastle?

415,000 of THEM but of course we would fill our end.

Not really. In a city of our size its embarrassing if we can only muster up 12k or so fans for a game as big as this.

I would very much doubt it if their stadium held 20,000. Don't forget that most fans would have to fork out for the game and they've already splashed out megabucks on shares, cake mixes and paint. The kids piggy banks have been cleared out as well.

Yes but their capacity i around 3000 less than ours.

As I said, easily embarrassed. How anyone can get embarrassed over the size of a football crowd is way beyond my ken.

Think the capacity has been reduced and is now under 17K. Their "sell out" a couple of weeks ago against St Mirren was watched by 16,443. Only just over 15K at Tynie the other night against Celtic so this idea that they have an ever ending number of supporters is rubbish.

Exactly. A lot of people have been put off by the final and this is one match they simply can't face. This also has to be the worst time of year for money too.

To add perspective we took nearly 1000 to perth midweek while hearts took 200 to motherwell. They are fighting for their lives but only sold 12000 for a celtic match.

They would sell out tynecastle because it is smaller and they like rubbing it in about the cup...but it isn't at tynecatstle.

It's worthwhile remembering the context before branding it "embarrassing" imo. We're almost at Christmas folks are going through tough times factories and shops closing, folks hours being cut back and a must see game that can be seen live on the telly box in warmer surroundings.

The attendance for the same fixture in 2008/09 (Scottish Cup last 32) was 14,837.
