So if you asked Hibs to move your ST seat to another part of the ground for one game, you’d expect to still be able to control who sits in your original ST seat as well? That’s ludicrous.

It’s the exact same thing. Your hospitality IS a moved seat. It’s not a gift experience that Hibs are giving you because you’re a ST holder. You’ve just essentially moved seat for the game.

Not my intention to come across as rude at all but it annoys me when people criticise the club for doing nothing wrong, and if you’re going to derail a thread on here about the club shop to dig at the club for a total non issue then you’re inviting a rebuttal.

If you reassign yourself to another seat in the ground (which includes hospitality) you do not own two seats for the game, simple. That is not an opinion or open for debate, it is a fact.
The point you are making has already been addressed and refuted earlier in the discussion. What annoys me is people coming on making know it all comments without having read the full discussion. Refuted again just now I see… your example you give of asking to swap seats is also a completely different scenario. It is obvious if you are swapping something it is an exchange not a benefit as hospitality season ticket holder discount is described.

I can categorically say that in previous seasons where I've purchased hospitality at a discount I've successfully allowed a family member to use my season ticket.
On every occasion I've done this said family member has scanned my card, got into the ground and sat in my seat without any issues.
I can't speak for the process this season as won't be in hospitality until March but in recent years gone by the club have never resold my seat. In fairness I've never had hospitality when the ground is sold out but on every occasion the season card has scanned.

Same for me - no issues when I've given my season to friends when I've gone to hospitality.

You’re really misunderstanding this ST discount for hospitality. It’s not a perk. It’s a gesture by the club to recognise that you’ve already paid for your ST seat for that game, and to part way subsidise the cost of your moved seat (to hospitality).

In the same way that if you move your seat to another part of the ground (which ST holders are entitled to do 6x per season free of charge), Hibs can resell your ST seat. It’s no longer yours for that game.

It’s the same thing. You had a purchased seat (ST). You’ve then moved seat (to hospitality). Your original ST seat is then Hibs’ to resell. Obviously you do not retain ownership of two seats for that game.

I know you’re saying that it should be communicated better but I’d say it’s a fairly simple concept to grasp that shouldn’t really need spelled out by the club?
Totally incorrect interpretation of the situation described and wrong as my previous experience and those of others have already stated. Stick to what you know!

They have them in, yes. About the only thing they had in any decent quantity, apart from the 90s retro kits, when I was in today.

You get a discount on hospitality for the home European game where you don't have to give up a seat so surely that blows that one out of the window.

You would only have your normal seat if you bought it in addition to hospitality though.

Lol ....... I was only joking really, but this is the sort of game where half and half scarves would be acceptable. As a rule I can't bloody stand them. Still can't get over the club selling them for the Aston Villa game. For a friendly, fine .... but a competitive game, not a chance ... those Villa ones almost felt like forelock tugging to your betters.

Agree completely. The Villa stuff was embarrassing. Sure it wasn't just half and half scarfs the shop were selling either. Would never buy a half and half personally but agree this game, given the historical context, probably just about makes it ok to sell one for. Not sure of any other cases it's ok for though.
