The verdicts were all brought on circumstantial (albeit strong) evidence. They have never sat right with me.

Did the prosecution prove it beyond reasonable doubt? - not a chance!
The prosecution's role is to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt to a jury or judge, not to the general public. The evidence they presented in the Letby case was clearly so convincing that it left the jury in no doubt as to her guilt.
