There’s a real lack of interest in these games, generally, these days I think. Especially when folk have got European tickets and whatever else to buy. Chuck in the fact that a lot of folk are away in July. But in the main, I just don’t think folk are overly interested in parting with cash for this type of game.

I’ll be buying nearer the time. I do t think this is a run of the mill testimonial game. I’m sure Hibs and Bolton will be using this game as part of their preseason

Like other people I will be getting mine closer to the time, if it was just getting my season ticket seat I'd have done it already but since I will be wanting to sit by all my pals I will need to arrange it so we are all together, probably a fair few people in the same boat

McGregor is probably unfortunate there have been 3 other testimonials in recent years for Lewis, Paul and SDG. These games aren’t that appealing for people to give up time and cash I’m afraid. Bolton not exactly an appealing game either.

You're spot on about the lack of interest and seems that might have always been the case, went back and checked the attendance for Gordon Hunters testimonial and it says there was only 3500 at that too.

I get they're a nice way to show the appreciation for the player but maybe the meal events etc are better options these days.
