No hooter but the clock is stopped as the game goes on and as soon as 80 mins are played the next stoppage( a little more complicated than that in reality) signals the end of teh game. The important thing is that everyone knows when the game will end and you don't get time added on for preferred teams to score. Football is one of teh most backward sports I can think of.
