Just saw the highlights. Marcus Smith exposed at full back? Certainly seemed well out of position for their last try and then not quick enough for this level.

I’d agree with that. He looked like he was towing a caravan trying to run back and cover. Kinghorn’s team won last night so he won’t be with the Lions for another week at least. Would think he would take the FB jersey

Get a feeling Aussies might beat Lions over series. Think very difficult to bring together a huge squad of players many of which will never have played together especially when they have a shorter tour. Also not sure Farrell as smart at that than guys like Ian McGeechan. A lot of huge egos to mould also not altogether convinced Itoje best choice as captain

DVdM should never have started such a meaningless game when still coming back from the same injury he went off with again last night!

Lineouts last night were pathetic. Hope we have better available than Cowan-Dickie…

But even harder to accept the scars you left were planned

It's nice to see planned investment in the stadia and property tbh - there's only so much they can really do if they want to avoid major, disruptive engineering works to completely renovate the stadium, but I don't think it needs a whopping amount done to it.

They're right, that the viewing experience is excellent - there are very few 'bad seats in the house' at Murrayfield. But the supporting infrastructure could definitely benefit from some upgrades. While it's easy to whinge about the loos as a man, it must be utter hell going to Murrayfield as a woman! The queues have always been utterly ridiculous, and the widespread nature of the facilities lacking. I don't fully understand why they don't then operationalise the portacabin toilets they have around The Hive for matchdays, which while being a bit further from Murrayfield's main facilities, would take some pressure off the immediate toilets on the concourses etc.

As a stadium though, it's easy to get to, well-serviced by public transport and has adequate facilities on matchdays (for the most part) to deal with the demand. I do think focusing on the general punters' experience rather than hospitality would be a better use of money though.

i've not been to Murrayfield for many years but most of the complaints the last several have indeed been re the womens Loos, they're bound to realise a lot more women attend Rugby nowayears so it's good they're finally going to get catered for, i've read a few folk say the pitch is just getting moved
