No place for two cup winning captains, Gray and Jones. Or three players who scored a double in a cup final (Stokes, Benji or Fletcher). Honourable mentions also to Beuzelin, Latapy and Allan.

This season we achieved only our fourth 3rd place finished of the millennium, which included a run of form as good as any we’ve ever seen, yet none of the current squad are making anybody’s teams. I suspect that if we start this same thread in 5 years time, the likes of Iredale, N Cadden, Boyle and Triantis (if he rejoins) will be in there.

There are a couple of choices on there I’m picking out of what I think may come of them, and for that reason I was tempted to add Triantis and maybe even Rocky.

There are a couple also that carry some sentimental value in the decision - Jordan Smith was statistically the second best keeper in the league and made some stellar stops through the season so going to give him the nod on the bench.

Though Cumdog was wasting his career as if be was a bit more sensible then he’d be making even bigger money than he is now but absolutely loved his antics. Doidge for me too was so effective before his injury and would have been deserving of international caps.

Have went with a 4-4-2 with a diamond formation.

Would argue that Deeks and O'Connor would probably be our best striker partnership of this time period but feel Griffiths probably deserves his place.

We’ve had some pretty good players over the past quarter of a century, haven’t we?

Lots to choose from in some positions (centre of midfield, up front) versus some others (goalkeeper, not really an outstanding candidate).

Boyle has made a few tbf,thought about N Cadden but the rest done it over a longer period. Hope you're right about the 5 years 1👍
