Slight digression, but anyone looking to see coverage of the new Hibs signing in the Evening News, our local paper, will be disappointed. Their football coverage on today’s edition, consists of back page stories about Hearts players attracting attention ( probably from moths) and Craig Gordon’s testimonial. 4 pages of Scotland build-up (understandable). Two pages of general sports news featuring woman’s cricket and darts. Then a full page of Hearts news all about Shankland and Penrice attracting suitors and finally a full page of angling news. No mention of Hibs anywhere. Am I just being paranoid, but do you think they are ignoring us in the hope that we will just go away?

Time for the EEN / Scotsman to be put out of their misery. Their continued existence is an insult to once proud titles of the same name.

Surprising to me that the majority haven't shut their doors already, pointless (IMHO) buying a paper to read about something that was on the internet hours or even a full day ago.

Hopefully this helps us. Becoming an international regular and aiming to play at the next Word cup is presumably a big part in his decision making. Right now he’s firmly on the cusp of it and would know that unless his form drops massively, he’d be signing the Hibs contract to be a first team player and fan favourite, with exposure in Europe.

Moving club is more of a gamble and he won’t get into the DR Congo starting team if he doesn’t settle and sits on a clubs bench.

Didn't score at all last season but think he done fairly well in league 1. The championship is generally a pretty big step up compared to our league so wouldn't be judging him on that.

I might be wrong but I think you’ll see them spend more yet . They’ll need to if they want to give themselves a chance to stay up , really don’t think they’ll see Triantis as a player that’s anywhere near that level yet .

Yeah I agree they will spend more. Think most people would agree that Triantis isn't premier league quality yet. However, I could definitely see him moving on from us and going up another level to test himself.
