Possibly! You could also argue that the EPL teams need a big playing squad, with many of them choosing to play almost reserve teams in the League Cup. Triantis could be viewed as one to keep and test him out in the cups, whilst they keep their better players fresh for the league.
Has Triantis and his agent not already come out and said its important that he gets game time - wherever that might be for his international ambitions?
