    Balogun left rangers

Always thought he was their best defender, would take him
There's not many out of contract players I would take that would be within a reasonable budget for what they could offer us. I feel like Balogun at his age would perhaps ask for a bit too much but a 1 year deal for him if we lose the likes of Rocky/Miller/Ekpiteta wouldn't be the worst scenario if he fancied it. But I'd wonder if we'd go for someone like Richard Taylor at St Mirren or even Dan Casey at Motherwell if we wanted to plug a CB gap in the squad. Both good ages and out of contract and performed well this season.

Is it? All I can find on Twitter by searching his name is someone with the same name in desperate need of a pumping

Saw a pic on social media that looks like him in a Hibs training top. Could be true, could be AI

That was a photoshopped pic of Chris Cadden or someone else, it was doing the rounds last year.

Why would he be in training gear when our season finished on Saturday 😂

See if it's on a Hibs facebook page, just assume it's AI and nonsense.

Better ask Saul he will know.

Quite informative from Malky saying thè Gordon family have put in £24/25m into the club. Very impressed with Malky. CEO will be appointed, employing
a team of headhunters to identify candidates.
"The sooner the Gordon's (sic) are out of our club the better."

Stuart Armstrong would be a brilliant signing. Exactly the experience and quality we need for Thursday/Sunday football. Hope there's something in it.

How did he do at Sheffield Wednesday last season?

Feel like Stuart Armstrong is destined to be back at Dundee United. Would take him at Hibs for sure but I'd imagine that means Junior Hoilett wouldn't be staying as we already have McGrath and Campbell that are similar type of players.

Edit: FWIW I imagine the 'chat' on Twitter is a load of nonsense anyway.

Injured for most of it and then released along with many other players. Bit of a clear the decks going on. He’s definitely got the ability if he’s physically up to it.

Folk not actually saying his name just a lot of hibs fans tweeting gifs or pictures of him.

    It's likely just nonsense.

Josh Campbell is the polar opposite to Hoilett McGrath and Armstrong but he brings other attributes to the table 😂

I agree about different attributes. But my point, probably poorly worded, was more the area of the park they operate in. McGrath could obviously play wide left for us. But if we're sticking with 3-5-2/5-3-2 then McGrath and Campbell are likely to duke it out for that number 10 spot as it stands in the same way Hoilett and Campbell have rotated.

There's still a chance Hoilett stays, but if you also sign Armstrong then unless he's changed to a much deeper midfielder in the last few years then it would become a crowded section of the depth chart.

Any rumours on what's happening with Vente?

He went off at HT in their 4th last game of the season, unused sub in 3rd and 2nd last games, then not in the squad for the final game of the season. Dunno if he was injured?

Anyway, ends the season with -
    Zwolle - 31 games / 14 goals
    Hibs - 6 games / 3 goals

Cannae see him back here next season, so hopefully someones lining up a decent bid.
Definitely injured, not sure how badly.

Hopefully not badly. Can’t see him coming back to play but you’d think getting him moved on might form a big part of what we do in the summer.

Can’t see McGrath playing wide left in a 3-5-2

I agree, which is why I put him and Campbell as the contenders for the number 10 role if we stick with that system.

United have announced their releases including -

    Ross Docherty
    Louis Mouilt
    Declan Gallagher
    David Babunski
    Tony Watt
    Allan Campbell

Also every single reply about Campbell is overwhelmingly negative. Seems he's not impressed a single person.

Richard Taylor worth a good look at. Hope we are interested in him. Just my humble opinion though

I’m hoping Hoilett stays , class act . We are certainly going to need players rotating positions when juggling with a European and league game in one week . The Armstrong rumour would surprise me if there was anything in it unless Hoilett is moving on of course. Some of the games I’ve seen McGrath play he’s looked more effective out wide , very good player who gives us options in he can play 3 or 4 different positions.

I still think Campbell is worth a punt, would only just be 27 at the start of next season. With a full preseason and regular games i think SDG would get him firing again.

I feel like it's the type of move that see's him go back to Motherwell next and just see if he can recapture something to even be an asset at this level. The last 3 seasons for him have been a total write off and he's struggled consistently. I'd stay well clear personally.
