Ronan Hale might be a better bet than Nisbet. He’s scored more goals this season (for a struggling side) and he’s a couple of years younger. He’d be cheaper too.
Ryan Alebiosu will be a free agent after impressing on loan at St Mirren. He could be good competition for C Cadden.
Tawanda Maswanhise at Motherwell could be a good super sub option if Youan leaves. He must be among the fastest players in the country.

Also one says in the Celtic game when a fan took ill that Thelin had the players in a huddle when talking to them , Nisbet was the only one not in it , guy does say maybe he’s reading to much into it but I do think that’s a bit Nisbet like .

Call me greedy, but if we do strike a deal with Bushiri. Faced with a European stint, I'd still be keen on picking up Porteous.

Porto is certainly one. Along with Nisbet as well.

I'd guess Millwall will be looking to sell this summer, unless another mid/lower EFL take a gamble then there's not many places for Kevin to go, a move abroad?
Would Aberdeen think he's done enough to warrant a perm move?
Boyle, Bowie and Nisbet should get you goals.

The Birmingham bid getting rejected it didn’t feel like he was entirely happy about it and if anything looked like he was in a mood / pissed off about it ..
Gray I think is quite a strong character and was a leader on the pitch that we know well having been at our club ten years or so.
Jimmy Thelin i know nothing about or that he even existed until he got the Aberdeen job so I don’t know how he’d handle it . I do think Gray wouldn’t be speaking as positively about Youan if there were issues there though.

Bobby Wales signs for Swansea.
Wonder if that tells us anything about Mykola’s future?

Everyone knows Millwall don’t want him, and he’s in the last year of his contract. Nae point paying for a guy you can get on loan, then on a free.

You would think SDG would want his main targets in as soon as possible to be ready for Europe, Striker wise if we sell Youan i think we will go down the older experienced free transfer if there is one available who they think would be good and a Loan deal.

Forums are full of misinformation.
You do think “that’s a bit like Nisbet” doubt a man who has lost his own father would be so disrespectful. Perhaps he was taking time to reflect.
As I say full of misinformation.

I have a feeling we will find out about any deals after the Scottish Cup final as that will surely affect the budget.

Maybe he was taking time to reflect , who knows but we can only go by information wither it be right or wrong and make up our own minds and I think I read on the Pars forum they predicted he’d be angling for a move away after signing for us which it certainly felt like he was , when it didn’t happen I certainly got the impression we had an unhappy/moody player ( maybe that’s only me that thought that though) .
He went to Millwall and the fans were certainly not happy with him there and now at Aberdeen theres a few who are now again got doubts about him or at least asking questions ..
I do think he’s a good player but it does feel like to me that at most clubs Kevin Nisbet has went to there have been unrest with him either wanting a move or fans generally questioning the guys attitude… doesn’t really fit in with the right type of character the club have repeatedly mentioned about wanting in a player IMO .

Absolutely down to Gray if he thinks bringing back Nisbet would work though my gut feeling on it is if he was available when Aberdeen signed him why didn’t he go after him then rather than bringing in Myko .
I don’t think we wanted him then and I don’t think we’ll want him now , will be very surprised if we do in truth.

We definitely need a new GK to challenge Smith. Reckon with the connections of the Black Knights it will be Paulsen from Auckland.
We 100% need a new centre half, Right Wing Back, Centre Mid and a Forward! Not much to ask. But 5 players of a higher quality than what we have has to be the aim especially with a potential European campaign

Anyone know what’s happened/happening to Kwon?
Done really well for St Mirren last season and when he first signed for us I thought he looked quality, despite us struggling.
His confidence and form then completely went during our poor run and he then picked up an injury
Saw on Instagram he posted ‘see you again Hibees’
Be stunned if we sign him though

I wouldn’t be adverse to Nisbet & Porteous coming back to the club permanently or on loan. Need an experienced squad for next season. The lad Hale is definitely worth considering as well. Can also supplement with loan deals from the Black Knights consortium to fill in any gaps. Don’t want European venture to negatively impact our domestic ambitions of at least 3rd place again and some silverware.

Alebioisu is one I only noticed midweek but thought he was very good, checked twitter and St Mirren fans love him.
Maswanhise has impressed me all season and thought he may be a good replacement for Youan with his pace, directness and goal threat.
Hales a tough one, had a brilliant season with the amount of goals but I can’t say I’ve noticed him much. He does seem pretty clinical though with some of the finishes I’ve saw.
Other couple of players that have played in the league, had good seasons snd we may be interested in
Richard Taylor - Out of contract
Josh Mulligan - Out of contract
Mackenzie Kirk - 8 league goals in his first full flight season for team at the bottom of the league
Simon Murray - We failed to get him last season, but now we’re in Europe and Docherty has just been sacked from Dundee, could they swing it?
Callum Slatterly - Always impressed me and been flying since he came back. In a position we’re well stocked though and has had injury problems in the past. Recently signed a contract extension
Oluwasaen Adewumi - Just turned 20, good goal and assist returns in the league. Really impressed me a couple of times and was only on loan at Dundee.
Boyd- Munce - Can we sign yet another St Mirren centre mid? Another that’s impressed me and reminds me of Callum McGregor. Unlikely to be a position we look to sign though imo unless it’s someone of similar ilk to Triantis
Jordan Amissah - apparently been brilliant since signing for Ross Counrt. Young keeper and in a position we’re we’ll desperately need to add numbers to
Sam Dalby - 15 goals and 2 assists in 35 games, 25 years old and out of contract
Johnny Kenny- More game time with us and in Europe? He’s previously played and scored in Europe too
Not suggesting we sign all of, or any of them, and I imagine we’ll be scouting far and wide for players.
But I think SDG will likely to keep a base of players that know the league, some good options available. We’ll also need a bigger squad for Europe.Last edited by Unseen work; 19-05-2025 at 09:31 AM.

Think he will struggle to make it at Celtic and we have better options already here and hopefully still to come
