Well that was funny. Just watched the highlights, an absolute destruction, 34-0 before some garbage time points from Mahomes when the Eagles were playing prevent defense; seems a very odd decision for the mvp not to go to an Eagles defensive player, thats where the game was won, Sweat got 3 sacks on his own . But no, its always theQB.
I’ll miss my NFL for the next 7 months; at least we have the draft to look forward to.Last edited by hibsbollah; 10-02-2025 at 06:36 AM.

Watched the first half, don’t think I’ve ever seen Mahomes look so subdued play wise, nothing coming off and no protection from his line, not that he was playing exceptionally well himself either.
There’s been more than a few folk saying the Chiefs have been riding their luck this season, looks like it all came back to them last night

just wow
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has agreed a new contract extension until 2030 worth up to a reported record $330m, external (£255m) that will make him one of the highest-paid players in NFL history.
Allen, the NFL's Most Valuable Player for the 2024 season, will receive a guaranteed $250m (£193m), according to reports.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes signed a 10-year deal in 2020 worth $450m (£349m).
But the reported £193m Allen will receive is the largest guaranteed figure paid to any NFL player in the history of the sport, eclipsing the $231m (£179m) guaranteed
to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

Free agency starts Wednesday but some huge moves already. Seattle have traded GenoSmith to the Raiders, man mountain DK Metcalf to Pittsburgh and cut other receiver Tyler Lockett. Fire sale. And we haven’t even got much draft capital for it. Rams picking up
Davante Adams looks like a nice move.

Aaron Rogers is becoming a bigger ******** by the day. Been on this trajectory for a few years now and we get this every close season.

The draft (starts Thursday night Friday morning here) looks a bit underwhelming this year, theres less fanfare about the talent coming out of college than previous seasons. Travis Hunter the biggest story, the biggest talent and one of the very few in the modern era to play both sides of the ball, a WR and CB. Cam Ward the best QB on paper will probably get taken first by the Titans, ill be following his career closely as an ex Hurricanes star at u of miami-feels like a close friend after playing him all year on the xbox
Lots of good offensive linemen available, Ashton Jeanty is an explosive runner who might go to the Raiders round 1. Early picks for Titans, Browns, Giants, Patriots, Panthers, Raiders and Jets, but teams will inevitably trade up and down in the hours preceding. A million mocks online but this one as good a guess as any of them https://www.nfl.com/news/seven-round...raft-round-oneLast edited by hibsbollah; 22-04-2025 at 05:46 AM.

Dolphins needs are many.
With us looking to trade Ramsey I'd be stunned if we don't take a CB in round 1. Think our 2nd and 3rd round picks will be a safety and a couple of offensive linemen. We'll almost definitely take a 'project' QB fairly early as well with Zach Wilson (comeback POTY you read it here first) only signed for a year and Tua's well documented issues with staying on the field week in, week out.

Bears focus will most likely be on both lines, maybe an edge of the right one drops to them.
Many journalists reporting that they’re very interested in Jeanty as well, with some speculation they’ll trade up above the Raiders to make sure to get him

Just caught up. Biggest story by far is the Jaguars get Hunter, but what a price theyve paid, a first rounder next year and an extra 2nd a 4th this; that seems like good business for Cleveland. Also trading back in were the Falcons, who get two defensive lineman, and the Giants, who get their QB prospect in Jaxon Dart, but lots of scouts didnt rate. Shedeur Sanders drops out of the first round completely and will have a point to prove.
Im pleased with Seattles pick, badly needed o lineman whos highly rated. Players who dropped down the board and look good value include Broncos picking up CB Jaedae Barron at #20, The Pack getting WR Golden way back at 23 and the Eagles got a highly rated LB Campbell who dropped right to the end of the round.
Most of the players now ive never heard of but the big remaining story is who gets Sanders jr the best remaining QB.Last edited by hibsbollah; 25-04-2025 at 06:58 AM.

Miami take Kenneth Grant DT from Michigan.
A good player no doubt but feels like we reached a bit. I think there was scope to trade back if that was who we wanted and build some more capital in the later rounds. Still some huge needs to address.

2nd round: Seattle move up to get a steal who by all accounts should have gone in the middle of the 1st round; a safety who can play multiple positions-Emmanwori. Dolphins pick up a big guard at the 37th pick. Parriots get RB Traveyon Henderson from Ohio State, theyll be chuffed about that…hes one of the last big names now.
41st Buffalo trades up in the place of the Bears for…someone Ive never heard of. Strange trade. Still no Shedeur.
Jets take a tight end. 49ers take a huge DT from Texas. Here come the Cowboys. I bet they take Shedeur. Nope
Colts and Cowboys both take edge rushers. #46 pick
Finally, Will Johnson the best cornerback in college football is drafted by Arizona at #47, because of injury concerns.
Still no shedeur. Unless you follow a college team closely, theres a very slim chance you know any remaining players here.
Seattles 2nd pick tonight is in…Arroyo Tight end from the Miami Hurricanes, delighted about that.
Still no shedeur.Last edited by hibsbollah; 26-04-2025 at 12:34 AM.

Great pick up for Miami. Costly but we have got a beast.
If I was Grier and McDaniel I think I'd be tempted to take Sanders if he continues to drop. He'll be absolutely livid and a player with a point to prove is always an asset.
The TE Seattle picked up from the U is a great pick at that point.

I agree, Flacco brings a wealth of experience, as the main man, a backup, a mentor, and as a reliable guy to step in when necessary.

I see Jordan Travis has informed the Jets he is retiring due to the leg break he sustained at FSU.
Real shame for the guy. I thought he had the potential to make is as an NFL QB.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years
