Saw Primal Scream at the Usher Hall last night.

Overall, a good show. We were under the overhang of the balcony so struggled to understand what Bobby Gillespie was saying (strangely enough, could make out the words when he sang them). The band were tight, great guitarist.

There was a mid-point lull and I was getting a bit bored, but it picked up again and he got the place rocking.

Baxter Dury (ian's son) was support. He was decent, but a tad one dimensional. Certainly gave it plenty in his delivery, but would perhaps benefit from a more varied pace and a bit of his old man's humour.

Definitely not my thing. But I sometimes come across him on sky arts playing in some medieval square in Europe and it just looks a fantastic time is being had by all.

Got last minute tickets to see The Temperance Movement at the Barrowlands last night, it was a sell out and we tried initially for tickets, amazing gig and some energy from Phil Campbell the singer.

It really feels like gigs have taken a marked jump in price lately.

Was hoping to go see Refused at SWG3, and Real Friends supporting New Found Glory at the O2 Academy later this year but tickets were £53 and £45 respectively!

This was already after I'd shopped out £110 for 2 tickets to see Ice Nine Kills at the Hydro in December.

Sitting, unfortunately. There didn't seem to be any standing tickets left in the pre-sale. In the Grand Circle, at least.

Anyone know if there’s any decent parking spots near the Barrowlands? Parked at the tower block before but I’m sure that bit has now gone!

    Cheers

Last couple of times I’ve been there I’ve parked just off High Street, close to the motorway and not far to walk to the Barras.

You can pretty much park out the front of the Barrowlands - the entire road along from it toward High St always has spaces and it's free after 6pm.

We usually go round the back streets never any issues around there. There’s also a small car park on the street to the left when facing the barra’s.

Same here. Getting back East avoid High/ St J15 and go east to 12 or 13. The road works are still horrendous after 10.

Seen them at the O2 at Chesser last October, watch out for an all in fight fest that's called a mosh pit, got very dodgy.

Got Wrest at the Old Fruit Market coming up on 25th. Other than that just Biffy at Trnsmt booked in.

Going to try and get tickets for Idlewild at PJs on the door as it sold out too fast for me, and I'm expecting some Twilight Sad shows which I'll be at.

I just got tickets to see The Divine Comedy.

I've seen them before and they were great.
