    Could be Theo Mawene?

Turns 18 in the summer, Brighton and Brentford have been looking at him apparently. Could be one Bournemouth sign and then send up here. Would make sense if Bezbatchenko is involved.
Is that his dad that was at preston and Aberdeen was decent 🤔

Ralston would be an excellent signing.
Who would he displace from the current team? I suppose if Miller is to leave and we want to play a back four, he would do a job there.

I would prefer Miller gets his contract extended, he's turning into a very good RCB, and can play right back if needed.

Have no ITK on if it's currently happening, but Ralston was one that we tried to get on loan when Lee Johnson was here and was told no. I wouldn't be hugely surprised if that door has reopened.
Ralston is an out and out right back, not a wing back. If we were to sign him we’d be looking to change shape to a back 4 on a regular basis

None of the Celtic fans I know rate Scales. He’s a token gesture to most.

Will never play at such a high level once he leaves Celtic and I include Aberdeen, Hibs etc.
I didn’t rate him either especially from his time at Aberdeen but I’ve changed my opinion on him having watched him with both Celtic and the ROI . I think he’s improved.

The Celtic fans I know want another CH in the summer that’s better than him and Trusty but most in the meantime prefer Scales to partner Vickers . At least the ones I know do .

You say he will never play at a higher level including Aberdeen , Hibs etc but is he any worse than the likes of Gallagher, Graham ( Dundee Utd ), Halkett ,McCart (hertz ) , Rubezic , Knoester ( Aberdeen) O’Hora ,Ekpiteta or would he be an upgrade on some of these ? .

Got to wonder what will happen there, would of thought there would be a hold on transfer business till the new owners were in. Bet Lyall Cameron must be concerned about how things will pan out for him now. I imagine there is going to be a pretty big clear out.
They haven’t even agreed a fee with Dundee for him yet
Dundee looking for the type of money Aberdeen got for Barron

Probably many wont agree with me but Ive always thought Ralston to be a decent player with celtc but not so much for Scotland, although I said a while back he was chucked into a few Scotland games when he had literarily been bench warming for celtc and it was noticeable he was way off it.
    Personally think a decent player

    What’s Motherwell’s Dan Casey like ? ( not us linked btw ) .
Pretty rugged up and at them centre back. Bit reckless but a decent goal threat from set pieces

I would say that currently I wouldn't break any budget to get him if we have Chris Cadden/Miller/Megwa all in that position. But I think he'd be a good signing for us if it was a position we were looking to fill. I don't think he's starting for Scotland level personally but I also don't believe he's a terrible player by any stretch.
Can’t see Megwa being a first team regular

Would rather both our centre halves to be honest. The rest are torture but glad they don’t play for us.

I could see him being either.

He's not played all that much football over the years so he's actually half decent considering that.

With a solid couple of seasons behind him where he plays every week I wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a very good player.

I just don't think you get to be that player being a reserve for Celtic who has the odd loan behind him and, er, the odd international appearance plus occasionally coming in from the cold to deputise at his club.

Been mentioned again , one says it’s almost done too . I can’t say I ever really noticed him .
Another article I read said that Sevco are in talks with the agent of Peterborough’s Poku .
If that's the market that Sevco are looking at then they are knackered, they won't catch Celtic if that's the best they can afford.

Agreed, him and that Liam Scales being at Celtic for as long as they have been is mind boggling.
I think they both have “room for improvement” … and part of me thinks we could improve Ralston, and the other part says na, surely celtic would have already. Hmm .. this fence I’m sitting on is comfy it seems 😂

The important thing next season is we don’t do what hearts did this season, and we make the most of our progress, keep as many of the players who have achieved this season like they have that we can, continue to move on the ones who should play no part, and bring in even one or two (I know we may need more depending on who moves on, and I’d add in an extra good goalie in addition actually) like Bowie and Cadden, and aim for more progress.

Could be Robbie Brady. He would suit our older heads category especially when Gayle is leaving and Hoilett is out of contract.
Correct me if I'm wrong but Gayle retiring isn't 100% confirmed. I'm sure he said after the win at Tynie if he was still scoring goals and enjoying playing he would reconsider.

Could be wrong, but think they have a £4mil obligation to buy that Cortes who’s always out injured for them.

    So probably penny-pinching elsewhere.

Miller is doing a great job at RCH in a back three…. Cadden I am fine with in a pool of right wing backs … Megwa I haven’t as yet been convinced of … so if we find a strong option for RWB, I think it would be a sensible signing … LWB .. I enjoyed watching Obita on Sunday, and he could get better now it’s a 3-5-2 … and Nicky Cadden too … hmm … and there’s more to ponder, and also young players to come through at some point hopefully …

Good to have these “problems”. Well done SDG for getting us to this position, and also moving on when we can those that are better to move on.

He’s never played in Europe. I think (hope) that might sway him

Agree, seen him a few times, good player at that level, not sure about the development potential but no higher up club seriously linked. Never occurred to me that he'd add much to Hibs but you never know.

Good grief, I'd no idea lol, yet another calamitous decision by them. Seriously, if we can build on what we currently have and that's where Sevco are at there isn't a reason in the world why we can't finish second next year.

Well to be fair it's more of a reflection on how poor a state Sevco are in financially as opposed to what we are doing. Given their resources they should be out of sight from us but they aren't...

I think there were quite a few clubs interested in him before he got injured . How good is he ? I don’t know but he appears to be on Sevco’s radar , probably because his contract is near out ..

    https://the72.co.uk/2025/02/19/burnl...st-kwame-poku/

The other one that’s interesting is Boyd in the Sun says Sevco must do everything they can to get out of signing Cortes who they have on loan with an obligation to buy for around £3 mill …

I’d love it if they had to pay £3mill for a player they don’t want 😆

Got to say I’m a big Liam scales admirer, think he’s perfect kind of cb for our shape, didn’t always rate him though. Still hold out hope we can get pleguezelo if Plymouth go down. Think that’s realistic. Or maybe not 😬

    Yip.

Talk of finishing 2nd next season is very jamboesque, let's try and secure 3rd this season before we get ahead of ourselves.

He’s got a lot of improving to do before he’s fit to clean Jack Iredale’s boots.
