Only gripe on a fine day - 17 games unbeaten, 4-0 win, the players deserve better than a half empty stadium for the last 5 mins. East stand in particular emptying our long before the end, each to their own, but baffling how so many can have something so important to get to on a Sunday afternoon that it's worth missing the opportunity to bask in the finest run any of us have ever seen.

Bugs me as well. They’ll have their reasons but I don’t get it. Seems to be emptying earlier and earlier every week.

Leaving 5 minutes early can save people 30+ mins of their own time getting out, finding their car. Not everyone walks to the game or lives locally.

I expected a SOL rendition given the achievement today but was looking sparse towards end

I left early (on 90 mins) so I could get to the club shop to buy a full kit for the wee man. Sure that's not reflective of the wider attendance mind.

I usually stay until the end, wasn't there today unfortunately but if I stay to the end of a 3ko, i dont make it home until about 6/7 with public transport. If i leave 10 mins earlier i can be back in the house about 30 mins earlier, sometimes an hour if i miss the usual bus on the way back. I think a lot of it is just practicality, i love hibs, but i also value my time and spending ages waiting on transport and sitting on it isn't something i love doing so can imagine how many others are in a similar situation.

I struggle to see why this bothers people especially as the game was won.

One of the reason I love the seats we sit in. Front row of the West Upper so no-one standing up in front of us blocking the view and everyone left and right stays to the end.

Better to leave early than not go because you're scared of someone criticising you for leaving with 5 minutes to go.
Or not?

Football will attract all types of people, folk in seats during the game is good regardless of what time they decided to leave.
I don't get to the games much now due to other commitments with work and life. There are aspects I miss about it and others I don't. Never understood these guys who would take their kids to the game in the east and start arguments with folk because they were swearing infront of their child. Often thought what do these high and mighty parents expect!

I always move down to the front, basically for a quick getaway. I don't care what anyone thinks or says, I can get home about 45 mins earlier if I stay.
If it annoys you, deal with it

We're 4-0 up, Bowie on a hat-trick, it's a Sunday, the sun was shining and a 2.30 KO. There are no excuses for early leaver today. Team deserved better.
Also, sad to see hundreds of empty seats around the ground.

The customary thread for folk to moan that strangers are exercising free will and not acting exactly as they are. These threads used to be about strangers not going to games and spending their time and money differently. Shows were in a good place when it’s just a 5 or 10 minute window folk are complaining about strangers acting differently to them.

I've bought a season ticket for next year but I might have to leave early on occasions depending on when my train back to York departs.
Will you forgive me or would you prefer I stayed home?
I've made the same joke on here every year since the year dot, when this nonsense raises its head, that the only reason I go to games is so I can leave early.
Seriously, I get it that it's irritating when folk want to pass in front of you as they leave, whether that's to go home or to go to the bog at the cinema, but it's such a minor inconvenience.
I suppose it's good that this is all anyone has to complain about these days.
