Over the 2 legs the better team won.
Yes don’t think Liverpool can have too many complaints over the two legs. Thought PSG were exceptional and will take some stopping if top players stay fit

Hope McGinn can rediscover his form for Villa tonight in Champs League. Been a wee bit off the boil this season along with the whole Villa squad at times.

Black and green were the original colours and they introduced white to the mix a few years later. The three colours have been used most years since in a variety of combinations - including some Hibs lookalike kits.

Mcginn playing way better in behind the striker than in midfield. Seems to be his best role these days

    FT Atletico 1 Real 0

    Extra Time starting

  22. #18201
Madrid derby has had the most and best tackles I’ve seen in years. Even Mbappé throwing himself into perfectly timed sliding challenges.

    Onto pens.

  23. #18202
Alvarez so unlucky. Standing foot slipped and made slight contact before his kicking foot scored.

    Real Madrid spawny as ever.

Eventful shoot out, Real edge it. Keeper had to save that deciding penalty, so poor not keeping it out.

  26. #18205
Penalties are bad enough but to lose it like that was harsh on Atletico Madrid

Kind of wonder whether fairer thing for Alvarez type penalty would be a retake. Nobody would deliberately do that or really get much advantage out of it.

It would be. There's no intent to hit the ball off your other foot, it's already putting the taker at a disadvantage. If the keeper comes off his line before the ball is kicked it's a retake, why should this be any different? Seems very harsh and some saying it isn't conclusive enough he even did that.

You just can’t envisage that happening in favour of Atleti can you? Thats always going to fall for Real somehow

Seemingly they used the offside line technology they use to draw the lines to determine he deffo touches it twice.

Look at what VAR has done to the once beautiful game. It’s ****ing crap now 😂
