Burnley have a guy at the back Egan-Riley who is playing really well tonight. He played for us apparently.

English championship is close in 5 points between first and fourth . Burnley aren’t a great watch , nowhere near as good as they were under Vincent Kompany

Leeds Burnley Sheffield utd Sunderland pretty much will be top 4 , Then below Sunderland it's 14 points to Blackburn , Play off places are ridiculous to call ! All the way down to Oxford in 16th can make the play offs

I'm going for Leeds Burnley top 2 , Sunderland 3rd Sheffield utd 4th Norwich 5th West brom 6th

Sunderland to beat West brom over 2 legs

Norwich to beat Sheffield utd over 2 legs

Norwich to win the play off final with Marcondes scoring the winner

Unbelievable strike. Offside must have been close

Ref announcing stuff like that to the crowd is a complete waste of time and adds absolutely nothing to it.

Yeah...bit redundant on an objective decision

    Some game at St James'

100 miles an hour. End to end

VAR stadium announcement is pointless. Still takes 3 minutes to reach the decision . He's just verbalising what the outcome is

Im not a great follower of English football-but surprised that Arsenal are playing a full strength team when theyre right in the hunt in Europe and for the title. What are the rewards for a carabao cup win? No european place surely. I think it’s great they’re going for it but my memory was even at semi final stage the big teams would rotate?

The reward is winning a trophy, not something they do very often. This is the stage most of them start taking it seriously.

    About it

I'd rather we win the League Cup than qualify for Europe...course in England one equals the other

Newcastle will be taking it more seriously, having not won a domestic trophy for something like 70 years.

It does seem strange that Arsenal are risking their first team when there are bigger fish to fry.

You’ve called it, Martinelli going off with a hamstring injury.
"...when Hibs won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

How ***** is modern football when finishing 4th, 5th or 6th in the league as seen as bigger than winning a trophy!!

Don’t find it strange when you’re in a semi final to be honest. Liverpool will do the same tomorrow. Arteta will know they’re unlikely to win the other two they’re in as well.

Good first for Newcastle United. Defending well and look dangerous on the break .

    Correct, it really is p*sh.

If they gave us the commentary on how they get to the decision, similar to Cricket or Rugby then fine.

Bit of a charade and pointless what they are doing tonight.

  28. #15357
Find it unbelievable that Arsenal didn’t sign a forward. Three left backs sitting on the bench worth over £100m between them though.

That's true. They want a trophy. This trophy is just as good as the FA Cup, which has lost much of its glitter.

On a hiding again tonight but they might pick up again.
Portales and Larkeche back from injury will help but the limbo situation of Cameron and the loss of McCowan would be a challenge for Scottish clubs outside of Celgers.
