Tried to post an image, but couldn't [am useless at this]. The California Department of Water replied with a statement that, "The military has not entered California. The Federal Government restarted Federal water pumps after they were offline for three days for maintenance. State water supplies in South California remain plentiful."

Something like this happened during fires in his first term. He was ranting about California's poor management of their forests, which they should be raking, when most of the affected area was on federal land over which the state had no jurisdiction.

You'd hope that some day his supporters will twig that he's talking to them like they're really really stupid.*

Seemingly Trump had a call with the Danish PM the other day that went very badly - including at one point Trump calling her a "whore".

The Danes are having to put a plan into place so that any attack on Greenland will be so costly for Trump and the Americans that it will be unpalatable for them, which is sort of how Finland, Sweden and co managed to stave off an attack from the Soviet Union for so long.

I think we're going to see quite a big shift over the next few years to us actually being closer to not only Europe but also the Chinese rather than the Americans, who are very quickly going to find themselves without any friends in the world.

The US has illegally invaded other nations on multiple occasions since the end of WWII.

Trump's threat would take this to a new level.. invading territory of a fellow NATO member... but let's not fool ourselves that this is anything new.

He is an incredibly unpleasant man, with not even a hint of diplomacy or statesmanship, which is what makes him stand out from the others,. but the support for his actions from vast swathes of the US public is really just history repeating itself.
