Don't bet your house on hibs winning on Boxing day
We've had so many chances to stick the boot in and came up short. This time...just maybe.

My sources tell me the owners of the copyright to ' going from bad to worse' are predicting a huge downturn in sales with a competitor releasing a ' going from naismith to critchley ' alternative.

Shame he doesn't have the charisma of Stendel though.

Saw a few pictures from the game the other night - what’s with the dodgy maroon painted wood around the lower structure of the floodlights on 3 out of the 4 corners of the stadium.

Looks like a half completed shack painted maroon.

    Proper DIY tinpot job.

I noticed that too. On the one between the Roseburn and the new stand, there is also a scaffolding pole build out for a camera-man platform.

    It looks quite shabby.

Which is a surprise, given the amount of money flushing through that club at the moment.

Critchley will be given as long as possible because they won't want to admit Bloom's data has fallen at the first hurdle. They will be under considerable pressure to do some good business in January.

That said, if they do bin him at least they've got the best candidate under their noses (having searched far and wide) in Shelley Kerr.

Exactly the type Budge would go for, to show that Hearts are pioneers and showing the way forward for the rest of us.

Be a good fit for them.

What a great line the journalist Graham Spiers had on Stendal at his first press conference.

Absolutely go for them from the start next week. If we can get an early goal the hearts crowd will be right on their backs.

There is a need for a large dose of sense before Thursday.

    Yes, good win today.

The Yam are dire. They know it, we know it, everyone knows it. But I've seen this movie loads of times before.

Jambo delusion is next level and always has been. Their fans truly believe they are some super power club. I mean they call themselves “the famous” ffs

Very true but perhaps that is exactly the problem - we always go into derbies fearing the worst even when they are absolutely pish. Other teams don’t have that mind set against them. Not saying we’re a great team ourselves but there’s absolutely nothing to fear against hearts. Our biggest hinderance is ourselves and this mentality we always seem to have against them. Even in the past when we’ve had far better teams than them they’ve often got the better of us because we just seem to have this psychological problem in derbies.

I’m not suggesting we go in cocky and expect to hump them 6-0 or anything but ffs let’s stop this guard we have against them. They go into derbies confident and expecting to beat us. Now call it arrogance or delusion but whatever it is it seems to work.

**** them, they’re an absolute shambles. Let’s get right in about them!

My mood surrounding the Derby is night and day from what it was even 1 week ago. Between their continued decline midweek to fist to qualify from the easiest European group ever to have existed, and our great performance today, I’m absolutely buzzing for it now. No reason at all we can’t win this convincingly.

The fear now sits with them and the pressure is off slightly for Gray. Fail to win tomorrow and Critchley will be shutting it for the derby.

you're absolutely right and I think it's this mentality that Gray will be drumming into the team too - play our game, play it with confidence and ask questions of them. we just don't do sitting back very well so totally expect us to attack. hopefully our injury situation is ok but we also have an extra days rest than them too
