Yeah I think your right. I think with these Saudi fights they basically say who they want and pay an obscene amount. I'm sure that Turki Alalshikh said he would either make Fury Usyk part 3 if fury wins and Joshua loses or a unification if Fury and Joshua won

Said it would be closer than people are saying but didn't expect that. The first round hit was the winner, Joshua was on the ropes literally after it. Some bravery from him and all the fighters that step in the ring. Can't see Joshua being at the top again after that destroying, but he had a very good career and raised the profile of boxing in the UK.

I don't think he did. He just got beat off a better boxer.

Thought Joshua sounded like a total erse after the fight, talking about how he could kick off but he’d keep it professional and show respect to his opponent. Then went on to say that a lot of mistakes were behind the loss. He gave some credit to DD but it came across as grudging and arrogant to me. The way he was talking you’d think he’d lost on a dodgy judges decision, not well beaten.

There was no lack of heart from Joshua. Quite the opposite really, he kept getting up and wanted to continue. It's quite ironic he landed his 2 best punches of the fight just before getting sparked but that's the risk when you open up after already being hurt.

His punch resistance just seems totally shot and he was never blessed with an iron chin to start with. I've given him plenty credit after his last few fights and he's had a brilliant amateur and probably career but for his own sake it's time to call it a day.

It wouldn't shock me to see him v Wilder now though. There isn't much else for either of them and it would still do decent money for a final pay day.

i just mentioned to the gas engineer earlier that i try to make sure i don't see the "walk-in" before the fight starts, it's pathetic and i never ever watch the weigh-in's + the mostly made-up pushing and shoving and usually both telling each other what they're going to do to them, all pantomime


now Hearn saying joshua does have a rematch clause in his contract but Warren claiming his man doesn't seem to have a rematch clause in his carbon copy contract lol

Would it not be the other way round?


If the champ loses they’ll want a contractual guarantee of a rematch, but the challenger won’t be able to demand that, nor are they really entitled to it if they lose they’ll want a match

Nah the champ can't have in his contract what someone else does its a personal contract, although im sure both agree what each other will have. The champ doesn't have it in his contract that he needs to rematch if he wins he moves on, the challenger has it stipulated that even if he wins he could be made to fight again. Sometimes they both have it sometimes neither. Looks like neither has the clause though

Really looking forward to it. Bivol is tremendous and actually outclassed Canelo rather than just smothering him. Beterbiev is a monster though I'd maybe fancy him although Bivol slight favourite. Definitely too close to call easily though
