Reuben McAllister on the bench for Cove Rangers today. I know he's still young, but expected him to be starting in Legue One.

As a former Southampton season ticket holder, I can't help but notice that that's the third goal Saints have conceded in three games trying to play it out from the back. And that's from a team that's just spent £100m in the transfer window. I guess it's not only Hibs who come unstuck trying to play Pep ball!

Simon Murray hasn’t half turned into a niggly wee *****house. I noticed it last week at the kick offs. He was at it from the off. Shoving and standing on feet before it’s even kicked off. Just the kind off wee **** you want in your team and by definition one you wouldn’t get tired of going right through.

I never fully understood why he didn't get more of a chance with us.

Apparently that approach is backed up by stats but I still find it hard to believe that some of the play teams try to get away with at the back these days is worthwhile.

    I have reservations, like you.

Looks like the last few seasons of terminal decline will finally catch up with Everton this year of all years! Toffees fan I know reckons they had a bad transfer window are doomed already.

    Hibs take note

I suppose only Everton could be 2 up in the 87th minute and lose 3 goals from then 😂

They are the English top flight's equivalent of Hibs.
