What’s he supposed to say? England have been the much better team so far and Fodden the best player on the pitch.

I don’t think it was a penalty but I don’t think Kane did too much wrong. He did boot the boys studs and that’s a sore one, even if he did make some recovery to hit it.

I wonder if the Dutch could be tempted to go direct again? They have done it a couple of times when struggling this tournament. Drop the regulation 2 yard goal kick and 27 passes to nowhere that everyone is obliged to play and just launch it. Looked to me that the ref wasn’t shown the angle that made it clear Kane kicked the Dutch boy. Terrible decision. I’ll take a little confidence that England rarely have two good halfs in them, and the Dutch have finished games well. Looks a bit bleak though.
