Much as England don't look great I think they are in the far more favourable side of the draw. Can still see semi finals for them.

I'm not unduly concerned. Southgate is a nice guy, a good ambassador type but he's not got it to lead a team to a major tournament. A better manager would make this side frightening. Hopefully he does enough to keep his job for the WC.

Serbian fans me and my group encountered in Germany were absolutely grand. Perhaps not stereotype a group of fans if you've not experienced being in their company yourself.

I know they are acting like they are, and the man on the telly says they are, but is it not still mathematically possible for two third places on 4 points from tomorrow's groups? Would involve Portugal losing which is very unlikely.

You might feel differently when youve had a load of flares thrown directly at you and your family when youre eating your lunch. Yes, youre not the only person to have travelled abroad to watch football. Im also aware that generalisations based on nationality is a dangerous thing but their fans reputation isnt based on nothing.
