I suppose in Scotland you could finish 6th before the split and win it too

About to start, Central Coast Mariners v Sydney in the second leg of the semi finals to decide who plays Melbourne Victory in the Grand Final.
Central Coast at home and won the first leg 2-1.
If Central Coast win the Grand final will be on their home ground.
If Sydney win, it will be in Melbourne.
Wellington and Mariners would be the final most neutrals think would be the most deserved, and they finished 1 and 2 on the ladder……so that almost guarantees a Melbourne v Sydney grand final😂

All kicking off now , Sydney score but ruled out for dubious offside. Also strange that they're not using goal line technology ..

I don’t know what counts as a hand ball these days though….thought Mariners got away with one there.
Referee obviously a wrestling fan….number of fouls unpunished was enormous…….he does that every game btw.
Probably Mariners worst attacking performance of several seasons, not just this one, but they did what they had to do to get through.
A full stadium next week for the final, and if they win they’ll get a toilet seat as a trophy and the huge monetary prize of F All😂

I like how the ref looked at the monitor then told the whole stadium it was a goal but offside , That's what we need in Scotland referees that communicate to supporters rather than them running away

An all too familiar feeling being at that Wellington game last night. Gutted!
Between Hibs, Phoenix and Scotland it’s not an easy life of fitba supporting.

Different second half.
Mariners relentlessly pressing and Nisbet cuts the ball back for Edmondson to net the equaliser in time added on.
1-1 and now in extra time

He might be wee, but he’s no pushover.
He said after the Grand Final that he was going to take a few weeks to ‘consider offers’.
Hope we made one.

Aukland FC win 2-0 against Brisbane Roar.
Newcastle Jets currently 1-0 against Melbourne City
Melbourne City's scorer was Celtic's Marco Tilio, they also have former Hibs player Jego and Hearts player Atkinson playing for them today.Last edited by 04Sauzee; 19-10-2024 at 06:47 AM.
