Any investigation into these contacts has been blocked. When Russia first invaded Ukraine ten years ago Boris blamed it on the EU and called them Nazis.

All through this Russian ambitions have been available in their statements and writings since the 1990's, alongside their stated psychop plans to divide the USA and the EU.
