Aberdeen only 2 points behind us with a game in hand. They’ve got a good squad and any semi decent manager will make them a decent side.

If they do win the game in hand it puts us 8th.

We really need to step up and starting winning games. 6 wins out of 22 is laughable.

Neil Warnock being touted for the Aberdeen job.

Could see him doing well in a 6 month stint until the end of the season

One of the Dons fans on AFC Chat was fast out the blocks to say no to Lennon or H.U.N. DMC (as he/she called McInnes)

The only name that seems to unite their support is Alex Neil
Pretty strange nickname for a manager who turn down the Rangers job to stay at Aberdeen.

So the top 5 Scottish clubs have changed their manager over the last year (4 punted and big Ange poached).

Yeah he doesn't seem to have left too many fond memories in the North East judging by their fan sites

You'd think he'd be remembered the way some of us might look back on Tony Mowbray or Stubbs or (for many of us) Lennon

He's remembered as more of an Alex Miller figure by the looks of it - dour, pragmatic, unexciting, loved too much by the Weegie press

Yeah I do find that very strange that it appears to be the case for at least some of their fans.

Probably the biggest parallel with Miller is that he was just there too long. Think some of their fans wanted change for the sake of change at the end of his tenure.

He was there 7 or 8 seasons and I just think club and manager got bored of each other.

Lennon 4/6 for the Aberdeen job. Rumours amongst Aberdeen fans is that he's in Aberdeen today.

He was lined up for the job before Robson got it

    Let's hope he gets appointed.

Not sure how I feel about that. I think he'd give them a short term boost, which is not what we need.

Think it’s a roll of the dice with Lennon really. He could come in and cement them in the bottom 6. They’ve got a decent squad though and I wouldn’t be surprised if short term he improved them.

My thoughts too. He'd boot a few backsides and create a bit of a siege mentality. I think he'd be a great appointment for them until the end of the season until it all goes spectacularly wrong next season.

Yeah, I also retain a wee bit of affection for any manager that gave us some good times, and he did that for a brief period. I would quite enjoy the interviews though, in the same way I hope LJ reappears in the SPL at some point. They add to the 'gaiety' of the game.

Maybe, but if it were to be Lennon or McInnes, I think McInnes improves them. Much as I enjoyed the last part of Lennon's good season at Hibs, he's not done much in recent years.

I can’t help but feel McInnes will fancy his chances at the Scotland job once Steve Clarke decides he’s had enough which could even be as early as the end of Euro 2024 (obviously I really hope not).

If this was the case seeing out the season the way he started it with Kilmarnock might seal the deal whereas a failed return to Aberdeen m could quash his chances.

Got a lot of time for Lennon, so for that reason I’ve no desire to see him back in the dug out in Scotland anywhere else.

Yup. I think he'd do well there.

Or with us, if he was ever to return

McInnes is a process manager. He knows how to set a team up and, given time, he'll always be effective. Lennon is a charisma manager. Big initial boost then it wears off.

McInnes would be less of a worry for me short term.

I think that’s a very good description of mcinnes. It may sound bland or boring but it’s not a criticism for me. What it shows is he’s able to read the circumstances and come up with solutions to win games.

I hope you mean Lennon and aren't being disrespectful to the late Mr Kilmister.

I'd be amazed if Derek Adams is still in a job this time tomorrow.
