They are Ozzy. Tommy O’Dell, the lead singer is a massive Everton fan. Think his family are originally from Liverpool. The club seem to embrace it too. They have DMAs related Everton merchandise. Think the band were signing stuff in the club shop beforehand too.

Not sure if the other two support Everton too. One of them, Johnny Took used to live in Leith so hopefully he has a soft spot for Hibs.
I had no idea he’d stayed in Edinburgh

Apparently 'Life is a Game of Changing' was written about his experiences moving here. Seems he worked in a local cafe too:

Just booked tickets for Blue Rose Code at Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre and Rebecca Downes Band at the same venue over a weekend in February. Buzzing.

Anyone doing any Celtic Connections gigs this year?

Do they usually finish in time to get trains back to Edinburgh?
Staying over, Angelique Kidjo 29th, Steve Mason 1st February and NATI on the 2nd.

Just found out Buckcherry has changed venue for next week to SWG3 from the Garage, a real pain as we intended in going through by bus and back again, now it's miles away especially when it finishes, may have to take the car and get parked somewhere.

Don't fancy driving though, got old codger bus pass 😁. Might look at local buses that take us back to Buchanan St, see the times etc, I know they're about 10-15 walk from venue.

Was at the Mackintosh Church yesterday to see the debut gig from Outliers, the collaboration between the incredibly wonderful Jenny Sturgeon and the songwriting genius that is Boo Hewerdine. The venue was lovely, and the sound was perfect. An early highlight for 2024.

I'm throwing a pre-show party at McSorley's and after-show party at Classic Grand, both on Jamaica Street if you fancy making a day/night of it. Both looking like being very busy.

Just noticed Jeff Rosenstock is playing Mash House next Friday. Sold out unsurprisingly but if anyone ends up with a spare ticket please PM me.

I've got Dylan John Thomas tomorrow which I'm looking forward to.

That's one of the shows I'm seeing.
I see Dick Gaughan made a brief appearance. So pleased to see that he made it onto a stage again, I miss seeing him.
