The new series of Trigger point was on last night. Really enjoyed it but forgot how tense it was, especially for a Sunday night.

I’ve recently been disappointed with recent series, which have been given rave reviews and recommendations. The latest Netflix ‘must watch’ I’ve come across is Griselda. Any opinions?

Finished it last night, interesting enough story, along the same lines of Narcos but nowhere near as good, great soundtrack and some of the characters seemed liked caricatures of coke dealing bad guys, some funny scenes, some disturbing, probably a 6.5 out of 10 for me

    Dougary Scott’s Edinburgh-eh x1000 accent is interesting.

2 episodes to go and this is a good summary

    Second this.

I am partial to the odd reality tv show but usually those including wilderness survival or some sort of multi-stage challenge (007 on Prime was decent).

This however is just pure paranoia the gameshow and I absolutely loved it. I guess it does have the mission aspect, so not entirely surprised it was right up my street.

Couldn't take my eyes off both seasons.

Australian & USA Traitors are also good, Aussie one is better.

I started watching The Traitors last night and I wish I hadn't.

It's an unbelievably compelling show and even the cynic in me is prepared to ignore/dismiss what looks to me like staged, or set up, scenarios.

I'll be back on it today for sure.

Guilty pleasure for me this weekend. For ages, my daughter and granddaughter have been coaxing me to watch ‘This Is Us’, an, apparently acclaimed, American series about the story of a family’s life experiences. I’d heard about it ages ago, but dismissed it as smalzy, shallow and a waste of viewing time. Well, how wrong was I? I’m now hooked on it and can’t believe the quality of this TV drama. Fast moving, bouncing back and forward in time, easy watching but heart-warming, sad, humorous and thought provoking. Added bonus, it stars Sterling K. Brown, multi-award recipient and recently nominated for an Oscar for his role in American Fiction. Apologies if I’m really late to the party and covering old ground.

    Must be a shout.

I've never heard of the TV series (and barely watch TV these days) but I really fancy the film you reference, American Fiction. By all accounts Sterling K Brown is very good in it.

He was a guest on Chris Evan’s’ show last week and Evans was raving about the film.

Watched the first season of True Detective, thought it was excellent.

Have watched the first episode of the new story in season 2 but struggled to get into it. Will persist with it though.

How many Walking Dead Spin Offs are there? I see there’s yet another new one. I watched the original series until sometime in session 2 (when they made it to the prison) and lost interest. Watched one of the prequel spin offs, was only about 6 episodes (Fear The Walking Dead?) but my word they are milking the franchise to extremes!

Started Loudermilk on Netflix. Pretty funny and he seems a great character.
Ron Livingston's been great in anything I've seen him in. I quite like Loudermilk but I thought it took a bit of a nosedive in one episode of the first season when his dad visits.

Battered my way through all 3 series of Slow Horses .

Mental. Spooks meets John le Carre meets Tom Cruise.

And... I have said this so often over the years..... Gary Oldman
I'm almost finished series 2, it's massively underrated.
