Driving back from Glasgow Airport at 2am, so roads were very quiet and could not believe the number of cars that were driving right up my a***. It’s a 3 lane motorway, why not just overtake? It was chucking it down and pitch black so I was maybe going slightly slower than usual, but I was doing at least 60 cause I was having to overtake HGV’s so not exactly causing anyone any issues especially since there were 3 lanes.

Paying for parking via apps.
Get to car park, need to download a different app to the two I have already. Open app, comes up with privacy policies. Then can it have access to location. Then do you want to receive emails. Then another pop up with notifications. Then it doesn’t recognise the car park I’m literally parked in from location so I have to go and find a code. Then it charges another 20p on top of the parking fee for the privilege.

On the way home this afternoon I was turning right on the roundabout from drum Brae onto the Glasgow road. Some folk think it's ok to straight on from St John's road despite me using the roundabout

I'm positive I raised the peeve before of drivers using the left hand lane to go right, and it's very prevalent at this roundabout when leaving the Gyle Centre.
Last week I witnessed a relatively minor bump when a car in the left lane went right at the same time a car in the right lane was going straight over.
Madness!

Slightly off tangent but some arse has driven in to my car today at some point whilst parked and driven off. Towards the rear of the car the are some obvious scratches and the paintwork chipped in a small area.
Is there a cheap fix for this without having the whole car repainted? The cars only worth about £3,000 so not keen on a big outlay.Last edited by Since90+2; 18-10-2023 at 03:38 PM.

Has the law changed where people joining the flow of traffic from a side street no longer have to give way and wait for a safe gap! 😡
The amount of times that people pull out on you, causing you to brake is unbelievable, that and people pulling out from a parking space and doing a U turn across the front of you when there clearly isn’t the time unless you brake for them. Can’t believe the amount of times I have experienced the above manoeuvres over the last couple of days. The general standard of driving on the roads is awful these days.

Cyclists creeping about in the dark with no lights, hi Viz and so on at this time of year.
Was driving home from work tonight about 4.45 so well into the hours of darkness now. I was turning right onto Craigentinny Avenue from Craigentinny Road. Car coming up the road was a good distance away so I started to turn, next thing I knew there was a cyclist just there. No lights on his bike, no reflectors, no reflective or hi Viz clothing. His bike was grey and he was dressed head to toe in grey and black. Thank god I was turning and had no speed built up at all, I literally could not see him until I was on him. If I'd reacted a split second later I would have hit him.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

A*****les who don’t understand or care that, on a blind bend, their wheels should be on their side of the road. On a 2 hour journey today, I had to take preventative action 5 times to avoid a collision through inconsiderate (dangerous) driving. On one corner I had to drive on to the verge to prevent an accident. Fortunately, it was a solid, slight incline and I was fortunate to escape unscathed.

Folks that turn right (will be left in the UK) off a main road and stop at the corner to glance over their shoulder and check their wing mirror to make sure nothing is coming from behind. Ffs, you've just driven alongside that part of the road, do you think Roadrunner is going to come rattling along the pavement.
