All for the youngsters going out on loan to get game time in men’s football but find this a bit of a risky decision given Cadden’s injury and the lack of another right back being signed in the summer.

Miller did have a bit of injury trouble last season, have to hope he stays fit until at least January now otherwise we’ll be forced to play someone out of position in that position
It's clear though that Megwa is way off being ready for 1st team football. Any time I have seen him he is naive and often caught out of position.

Know we are a bit iight in various positions in the team, but I'd rather see a more experienced player played out of position than see the likes of Megwa in the first team.

Montgomery has been here for a couple of weeks now and will have studied our squad prior to joining. I expect to see a lot more moving on.

The amount of players punted out on loan is a bit embarrassing and a clear reflection of poor recruitment over a long period of time. Hibs will stiil be paying a fair chunk of the salary of these players loaned out which is a drain on finances/resources.

Your last paragraph is pants. Apart from maybe Melkrson & Henderson who else on loan is bad recruitment. All young guys learning their trade.

    That's maybe the issue no?

We're paying for young guys learning their trade that rarely, if ever, go on to contribute to Hibs in a meaningful way through games played.

I appreciate there's the odd exception and occasionally one of them will come off, but I think it's fair to say we've had a pretty poor return in recent years.

Freddie Owens played for Civil Service Strollers yesterday in a 2-0 defeat against league leaders East Kilbride.
    Emergency loan deal.

Murray Aiken played another 90 minutes for Airdrie in midfield in a 1-0 away win.
Josh O’connor got 5 minutes at the end.
    Megwa unused sub.

Had a look at how Josh was doing after Garry said he was tearing up the Championship on open goal. Think Garry has maybe embellished that a bit.

To be fair Josh has scored a few off the bench, but Aiken is playing very well, and was captain of the under 18s last year.
i’ve A feeling he might get recalled, in january.
Especially when we currently playing a 16 year out of position.
    Although Whittaker has played well.

I have seen Airdrie a couple of time. Josh looked quick and direct but often lost the ball and looked like what he is, a young player playing at a level he isn't quite used to yet.

Is Aiken not a centre mid? Don't think we'd recall him to play on the wing.

Leave him where he is for the season and let him continue to progress. Then maybe next season he can get some game time in the middle of the park.

Good to see so many youngsters on loan. They need mens football to toughen up before coming back and pushing for the first team.

Scored a cracker last week. He's one of a few I hope can turn their hibs career around under Monty. I feel like Kenneh could come good in the Jeggo role under the new management

I unfortunately don’t think Kenneh is ever going to be good enough on the ball to play for us every week.

Left foot first then right foot.

Seriously though he started in a 2-0 loss and was subbed after 66 minutes. No idea how well he played but he was up against the top team in the league

Think I agree with you there, I think Jeggo has shown the last few weeks that despite what many say about him he's actually a decent passer of the ball. Not at Newell's level but passable.

Kenneh's weakest aspect of his game is his passing, by some distance I'd say. I just don't see him being able to displace Jeggo, Newell, or Levitt if and when he comes back into the fold.

You can't play a ball winner with very little ability on the ball in a midfield 2.

I posted similar before but I feel Kenneh almost hides from receiving passes because of his lack of confidence on the ball. Instead of finding space he positions himself behind an opposition player. Conversely he's excellent at closing down players. I dont know what needs improving first, his touch or his confidence. Is he getting game time at Shrewsbury?

Delighted for him, for a 19 year old to be on loan, and get so much playing time, in central midfield, of a decent championship team is fantastic.
The fact Airdrie fans have voted for him to be player of the month, even better.
Glad he didn’t go to HULL CITY.
