Baucom playing well, Hibs the better team.

    FT's

    Montrose 0 Rangers 12
    Spartans 2 Hamilton 2
    Glasgow City 6 Dundee u 0
Uber poor Glasgow Women succeeded this season by uber poor Montrose and Hamilton.
Clubs losing games by Rugby scores makes the league look tin pot.

There are 10 capable teams in the top league. Should that be the league size rather than 12?
Is there any chance Queens Park or Kilmarnock will be good enough next season if promoted?

There isn’t even 10 tbh. 8 at a push. And the level disappears off the cliff when you go down a division.

Great finish there from Baucom. 0-1

I can’t find the Hibs game anywhere. Find v Celtic on Iplayer

    I've wondered this for ages.

Why do Hibs Women not have a goalkeeper wearing number 1? It's been like that for at least 3 or 4 seasons now. Is it a retired number or something?

Nah she left at the end of last season.

I didn't really rate her tbh

Ferguson had a great game today, the rest did just enough but could have easily been dropped points. Bit wasteful in passing at times

Looked as though she was carrying a few lbs too static

Seemed to be one of those players that was smaller when they jumped. Which isn't ideal if you're a goalkeeper. Was a big step down from the previous no 1s

Hibs and Hearts will battle it out for 4th just as we expected before a ball was kicked.
As per the mens game it's all about the budget.

To be fair, the change of management seems to have helped, too. Thankfully

8 teams would be more a group than a league.

Can't be having teams regularly getting buried by more than 6 goals.
Games like today's 12-0 will be a credibity killer for the league to anyone on the outside looking in.

It has but they are locked into a 4th or 5th place, every season, for the forseeable future.

    Pretty sure Gabby wore 1

True, but I was more than happy when it was Hibs dishing it out. What's not to enjoy about sticking 9 past Celtic with no reply in a cup final?

Back then we expected to beat Celtic so I found the game somewhat dull after we went 3 up. Similar situation to the Motherwell final.

Not complaining about winning seven cups in a row though.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

That wasn't sport, that was a procession.
I'm excited and impatient to see the womens game grow as a sport in Scotland.

As for our team Hibs, Edinburgh City and the City of Edinburgh Council need to get a plan together to improve the viewing experience for spectators at Meadowbank. It is an unengaging arrangement at the moment. Seating well away from the pitch offering a worms eye view.
The current arrangement certainly killed Edinburgh City last season in what should have been an exciting new era for them.

That result was all on Celtic, they had the resources available but chose not to utilise them as they didn't see the value in it, so it most definitely was sport. It also differs from the Motherwell final, or the Montrose weekend result where you had/have teams achieving the absolute most they can at the time and still getting pummeled.

I agree about Meadowbank but Edinburgh Leisue don't seem that bothered, and also messed up the planning permission building of the football area. Just one of City's issues though

Very poor from the BBC, according to their website there are no fixtures being played today.

Which is funny given we've just beaten Aberdeen 6-2 in the League Cup

  27. #1466
Monty at the game. Clearly keen to get a sense of every part of the club

Great result. Well done Hibs. Hope the men can do similar v the sheep in their League Cup semi.

More than 54k at the Arsenal v Liverpool Women's Super League clash today. Extraordinary.

Think most of the coaching staff were in attendance along with Brian McDermott and Kit Gordon. Good to see.

Brilliant to see them all down there for what was a great performance by Hibs Women.
