The 6th Commandment on BBC 1 and iplayer is unbelievably compelling, harrowing and crafted skillfully by all involved. Timothy Spall plays the Edinburgh born real life first victim of the chilling Ben Field. Quality of performances is top drawer all round

I've already watched a couple of documentaries about this so knew what to expect, it is well made though and Annabel Scholey is in it so, it's all good.

Anybody watch tonight’s Hijack? The photo of the two prisoners… the one on right looked a lot like Garry Parker our ex-assistant manager.

I've seen both series - thought it was fantastic.
Series 2 develops the characters, and there's an episode you'll be too wound up to sleep after

Halfway through A Spy Among Friends on ITV, thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Just noticed that Mary Kills People has been added to STV Player, I think I've mentioned it on this thread before but, it's well worth a watch.

Watched the first episode of Crime on Stv player. Everyone is a bit too Irvine Welsh sounding for my liking. Would have been better if it was dialed down a bit.

Not sure when the new series starts, missed this first time around
Series 2 arrives in September IIRC.

It was terrifying, one of the best Black Mirror episodes ever.

Does anyone watch it’s always sunny in Philadelphia?

I started it a few years ago, drifted away from it and have rewatched it from episode one over the last few months. I absolutely love it.

Tried to get into it but just found myself getting annoyed at how they just seemed to shout at each other all the way through every episode. Gave up in the end with a headache!

2 episodes left to watch of Snowfall, it's reached the absolute nonsense stage now. Quite dissapointing.

Thats exactly how I felt first time round, but my brother wouldn't shut up about it and I'm hooked.

I like it. Though this season has been one of their worst IMO. The last episode was quite good but didn’t enjoy the others. Last season was the same. They seem to be good when they’re writing a social commentary on modern life, but long lost their touch, or got too old, to pull of most of their random hijinks, IMO, which were their trademark.

I'm still catching up and just started season 15, I'm 4 in and still enjoying it.

I agree though, some of the satirical episodes are the best.

I think our Woke society has dampened some of the edgy stuff they used to get away with in earlier seasons

Love iasip. Early seasons were mental offensive and hilarious. I listen to their podcast which is class and they say they needed to change, as they just wouldn't be allowed to produce what they used to.

It's a shame most of favourite comedians of the past Bill Hicks, Richard Prior and Mel Brooks would all be cancelled nowadays

Which comedians or film makers have been cancelled in the last 10 or 20 years then?

It's not about getting cancelled it just doesn't get released

Comedians have adapted and tamed as they wouldn't get away with the same stuff. That's what the guys from sunny say, there is no way there early material would pass. I've heard Jim jefferies say the same and you can easily see it if you watch his new and old shows. He also thinks Shane Gillis was cancelled

    https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/shane-gillis-snl-saturday-night-live-fired-bill-burr-jim-jeffries-a9108071.html

Dave Chappelle is one of my favourites of the last decade. He was probably too popular to cancel despite a huge effort and cancelled shows, Sadowitz similarly
    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-62249771.amp

My comedians listed are also hardly 10 years old are they. Mel Brooks says Blazing saddles would never be released now
