**** game. West Ham winning other night felt like proper football, City winning tonight just feels wrong.

"the greatest story in football club history"

    Oh do **** off.

The whole game can be summed up by Onana throwing the ball out to a defender with 2 City players bearing down on him 4 minutes and 30 seconds into 5 minutes of stoppage time.

All night Inter played themselves into trouble from the back.

    I’m Absolute snore fest

And the commentary makes you resent it even more. Like watching an England game. Can’t stand England and English football
Better with Ross County v Thistle

One of the least memorable Champs Leagues finals, and other than City fans, does anyone really care?

Meh, is about as strong a reaction as I can muster.

The commentary team especially near the end made me feel sick.

Lescott isn’t even a city fan. Plastic club plastic fans.

Amazing what a few billion pounds does, Roy of the rovers stuff

I wish I understood why the Middle East is burning through money by pumping it into football clubs.

Understand the toy aspect but are they building clubs to take advantage of the Sky money once oil dries up?

Don't understand the point. Sheikh Mansour barely attends games. Clearly doesn't care about the club even though ridiculous money being spent.

Comes across as a means of distracting common people from the ridiculous inequality in the world now. Pretty much the same as what's happening in politics at the moment - mini scandals or distractions from the bigger issues in the world.

Newcastle could well be the next English team to do it. They are going to spend like City and are equally ambitious.

Sports washing mate. The more influence these Countries have it means people will be scared/ won’t speak about about the atrocities they’ve committed.

Sportswashing. The clubs act as a vehicle for the govs running the clubs to bombard people with advertisements and marketing tricks to try and improve they’re reputation.

Usually I watch these post match celebrations after a major final and, even as a neutral, get caught up in the emotion of the occasion. Not with this one, I’m totally detached.

Fair play to Man City, there will be genuine Man City fans who have followed them through the bad times, just like Chelsea and Abramovich etc. Obviously there will also be the glory hunters, it happens.

Such a shame how many people get bought out of their integrity though.

All these commentators sounding as if City have grown through their own means and fought against Goliath.

Then what's happened in golf as well. Absolutely no integrity whatsoever.

Everyone taking backhanders and then the customers still get ripped off by Sky, BT and whoever.

This will collapse. The greed in the world is already causing huge problems but this is going to escalate. World is mental.

Money talk’s unfortunately. They now control golf all thanks to money and it won’t be long until they control most sports and other institutions. There influence is quite scary.

I'm a bit torn on the whole thing.

There will be City fans there tonight who were attending games at Maine Road in the 3rd tier and would never have dreamed then they would see a night like this. City had their low point at about the same time their city rivals were bagging trebles of their own so there will be an enjoyment out of that too. I never really see City fans as plastics albeit there will be a tourist bandwagon that has developed over the last few years. When a club is taken over and success follows there aren't many fanbases that ask too many questions as a collective, I daresay Hibs would be no different if we were suddenly turning over Rangers and Celtic and playing Barcelona on a Wednesday night.

You can't just overlook the sportwashing though and when you remove that emotion that comes with actually being a fan then City are now a club it is very easy to dislike. Like others as soon as the FT whistle went I turned off.

Well, I originally was keen for some link with Man City as we might be able to get some decent youngsters on loan or they might be able to help with our scouting etc.

Now, I'd rather we just avoided them. Hibs will lose their identity if they become in any way linked to the City group. I only want Hibs to have links to genuine clubs which probably means foreign clubs. England's top divisions have too many dodgy owners now.

    Stay well clear Hibs.

Let's just say, for arguements sake, the supposed City Group takeover happened and Hibs found themselves in the Conference League Final. We'd all be there and we'd all be celebrating the win, don't for a single second think we wouldn't. We all want our team to win at ALL costs. For 99.9% of us, morals go out the windows. It would happen with all fans.

I read Noel Gallagher belittling Porto's win in 2004 the other day, saying they're not "elite". What a fanny he is.
