The Hibs Dev Squad could secure the cinch Reserve League title on Tuesday afternoon when they play Queen of the South at Palmerston Park.

Steve Kean’s side travel to the borders to play Queen of the South on Tuesday (18 April) needing just a point to clinch the title.

If the Dev Squad avoid defeat, it means Steve Kean’s side will round off an unbeaten season in the cinch Reserve League.

The Dev Squad have been on fine form this campaign, winning six and drawing two of their eight league games so far.

They currently lead the way on 20 points, seven points clear of their nearest challengers Kilmarnock – who have a game in hand.

Motherwell and Dundee United have both only played five matches, meaning mathematically they are still in contention although it is unlikely they will catch the Hibees.

Can anyone confirm the kick off time . The post says afternoon but I've had a message to say it's 7.30 pm . Can't make an afternoon kick off but will go along if it's evening k.o.

I take it there’s nowhere to watch it?

I know there might not be a huge demand but I’d love to see more of the reserve/development team. They’ll record all games anyway so why not create a section on Hibs TV for them whether it’s the games, highlights etc.

The more access to Hibs the better and helps build a relationship with fans.

    Brilliant
I met a guy who stands at east mains, who presses a button on his phone, the moment a goal is scored to suspend the betting.
    What a great job.

Is Jacob a highly thought of player?

Heard more about Oscar and little about him.

Yes I think so, maybe someone else can confirm but I think there both highly rated and he's a regular in the u17 scotland squads.

Very mature and solid for a development player.

Looking forward to seeing him in the first team.

There must be a phone button goal guy at every match you can put a bet on. Imagine the panic if they lose the network connection.

Jacob is the better player and has a higher ceiling imo, there has been EPL teams looking at him this season.

Cheers, Ethan at the heart of things from the look of things and a great all around performance.

Wonder what next season will hold for alot of these players 🤔

Hauge! Yikes, I had almost forgotten about him.

Laidlaw liking a couple of tweets about new contracts….

“ Well done lads now let's see O'connor and Laidlaw new deals pls 🙏”

    And

“ Great time to announce a laidlaw contract tbf”

Could just be liking the attention, or maybe he’s signed a new deal.

Hopefully a new deal and both Josh and Ethan are here for next season.

What about Aiken, did he not like Hull? He wants first team football and also Zaid would be looking for more next season.

The only way we're going to find out if these youth players can improve the team is to give them more a chance and it could also save us money if it's a success.

Josh looked capable from the times he has had playing with the first team from what I've seen.

If we sell Nisbet we have Josh who could be used as a back up to Nisbets replacement so would see more minutes, Ethan can play anywhere in the front line so would be back up for both Boyle and Youan(if he returns) and would see more minutes.

LJ has said he wants to get more youth involved and I can see why he didn't want to just throw them in at the deep end but was also a shame we never seen much more of them when first teamers came back but again LJ needed his experienced pros.
