I think it shows that Tan Hag still has a huge job on his hands to make them a really good team again. Man City and Arsenal are miles ahead of both these teams, Newcastle will strengthen again in the summer but there's only so many players you can get that are world class, Liverpool will also be chasing those players, interesting summer coming up.

IIRC Rangnick said Utd were 7 years behind Liverpool at that time. Obviously Liverpools wheels have fallen off but united will be playing catch up for a while.

The sad thing is that this is standard in all football nowadays. Anything to get an opponent sent off. Worst of it is VAR should really see that incident and probably give both players a yellow. Kane has started it all off then drops to the floor after a flick to the face.

He got no ban, when he should've been looking at a significant one. He got away with it completely.

I used fernandes as an example of someone the media love to have a go at for going down easily etc and buying free kicks which he absolutely does. The fernandes incident wasn’t looked at by vAR either.

What I don’t like is players creating a situation, or baiting an opponent and that leading to the being sent off. The instigator should be penalised too

It’s the fact that Kane realises this about a second after it’s happened and then goes down clutching his face and lying still on the ground. Kane is lucky Big Dunc wasn’t the Everton manager or else he would have known what a smack to the face felt like

It’s still a red card whether Kane goes down or not, the Everton player was a big fella, perhaps Kane was genuinely hurt.
