Alfreton Town v AFC Fylde on Saturday. Conference North game (tier 6). Alfreton 9th, Fylde top. A new ground for me.

I've been at 2 games this week.
Civil Service Strollers v Stirling Uni on Saturday past. Not the best game and finished 0-0. Strollers had the better of the first half, both teams cancelled each other out in the 2nd.
Spartans v Stirling Uni on Saturday. A brilliant 1stvhalf performance from Spartans saw them 4-0 up at HT, helped by some more than questionable defending and goalkeeping. Game finished the same way and that was a huge step towards the league title for Spartans albeit there is a long way to go.
For anyone not aware Saturday is 'Groundhop Day'. A lot of clubs offering good prices, putting on special events and moving KO times to allow people to take in more than one game. Think I'm going to head down to Tranent for a 5pm kick off there.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

Got my ticket for Ferencvarosi Vs Bayern Leverkusen tonight. £29. Currently scranning like the best of them in Budapest.

Ochilview for me on Saturday. Queens Park the hosts on this occasion against ICT. Table toppers v Scottish Cup semi finalists. The last time I photographed these two teams a Jambo loanee knocked Queens Park out the cup despite being on the winning side and that has been a slice of luck for ICT that they have hugely capitalised on. Been at Ochilview a few times so familiar territory and hope the weather is ok as it is pretty exposed down one end

There's a crowd of us going to Bonnyrigg Rose v East Fife on Saturday.
The Rosey Posey were unlucky last weekend, injury time defeat away to Stirling Albion. Level on points with Albion Rovers, who are away to top of the league Dumbarton at the weekend, so a chance to get off the bottom.

For the Sunday we’re heading to the Fanhaus on the Sunday. I had emailed them and they’ve offered to reserve us a 10 litre keg of Altbier for before the game

Dortmund I signed my son up as a member so allowed up to 4 tickets in their advanced sales. I then got the other 8 through a Dutch match ticket company called groundhopticket. They get 4.9 out of 5 on trustpilot. Paid €77.50 through them for a €45 ticket but that’s a damn sight cheaper than the likes of stubhub.
Looking forward to visiting Matty jacks pub in Düsseldorf too.

Spartans v Stoneyburn last night.
A Spartans team with 8 under 20s in the line up won 9-0.
I've seen a fair few East of Scotland games this season and the gap between the top end of the Premier with sides like Linlithgow Rose and Sauchie and teams even in the 1st Division is huge. When you get to the 3rd division there are Saturday amateur teams who would be more competitive.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

Puskás arena was possibly the best venue for football I’ve been in. Atmosphere was incredible, whole outside of the stadium lit up in green and white, and a great view wherever you were.

Chesterfield v Halifax this week. The last time I saw Halifax play they were a league club and Blackpool beat them 7-1. Think Dave Bamber got a hatrick.

Last game I made it down for was Flyde's last minute winner there at New Year (which was a sickener).
You should be strong enough to hold on to top spot now. Another play off battle for Chorley it seems.
On the groundhopping front, off to Albion Rovers v Bonnyrigg Rose today.Last edited by Chorley Hibee; 25-03-2023 at 11:31 AM.

2-0 Chesterfield bit of a one sided game i dont remember the Shaymen managing a goal attempt. Good to get out to a match. Attendance 7091 (325 brave souls from Halifax) pretty good for tier 5.
