What was the severence clause he reportedly wanted from us? 9 months or thereabouts I think, which is seemingly a lot more than usual. If he's got something like that then maybe it affected the owner's thinking.

The reason he doesn’t have long ‘with the boys’ before a game is because he never travels with the team - makes his own way to games. I found that astonishing when I heard it.

I would have thought most managers would have travelled with the team and would be surprised if Goodwin didn't as well though he always came across as a arrogant type of character. Think since they lost mccart , kerr , Rooney and the boy in midfield who's name I can't remember 🤔 , they haven't been good and his stock mighten be as high as it was .
