No but he has the quality.
If any of our u19s had his ability they would be in the first team also. He plays at that size and that young because he's a terrific footballer with bags of potential.
There are many reasons why they wouldn’t get a game : crap manager, scared manager, team in a slump , manager doesn’t have the Aristotle , etc. It’s,what differentiates good and very good managers from the rest

Size is nonsense. Do you ever see Peter Cormack or Mickey Weir or Derek Riordan start their 1st team runs. Skinny lightweight but good players, that’s all it takes
It's not me you have to convince buddy, it's Steve Kean and Lee Johnson, both are slaves to the sport scientists.

"He is getting better and better": Rapid rise of Jacob Blaney, a long-term replacement option for Ryan Porteous at Hibs
With Ryan Porteous set to depart after rejecting a new contract, the Hibs recruitment department will already be scouring the market for a new centre-half in January.

Interesting article. The reserve league table shows we've only played 2 games, no one has played more than 3. As mentioned our game tomorrow is postponed so next scheduled game is January. I know there have been some reserve cup games also but its strange that both Blaney and Kean in the article place great emphasis on playing against men in the reserves when it appears there have only been a few games. It does seem as if greater organisation is required for the reserve league.

Blaney has looked ok in the games I’ve seen him play. Has Jack Brydon just disappeared now?

He was playing regular with FC Edinburgh but looking back to Saturdays team neather Brydon, Delferrier or Johnson made the match squad.

    I saw that too
Did Hibs have a bounce match late last week?

Why are so many of our highly rated youngsters out of contract? Laidlaw, O’Connor and Blaney off the top of my head all out in the summer. Strange!

I would guess that they were all given their first professional contracts at the same time due to their age. Probably 2 year contracts

We’ve given the McIntyre brothers long term deals. We must think they’ve got a real chance

I think both had decent offers from elsewhere. Hence the long term deals - I agree both look very promising.

Going by my Football Manager save, we need to get Laidlaw tied up pronto. I've loaned him out to Jeonbuk in the K League and he's tearing it up!

Reuben McAllister looking a player too.
