Just noticed a Hibs women ST is £100. It think that’s more expensive that any of the WSL in England. Rangers are £89. We need to get down below the £50 mark if we are going to grow the game. Man U is £32.
I wonder if that is partly down to the rent at Meadowbank? A FC Edinburgh season ticket is £250 and a walk up is £18!

I think it would be a good idea is to be able to purchase one as an add-on to a men's season ticket.

Aberdeen will struggle if they dont sign some players this season. 4 or 5 of the 18s from last year have been promoted but i've not seen anyone come into the squad.

Patrick Thistle have picked up a few.
Spartans have been very quiet bar signing a couple of young players.
Celtic have been very quiet also.
Hibs should fancy a top3 this season.

i see Glasgow city have signed a couple of experienced internationals

one that has 55 caps for New Zealand and another that's scored a fair few goals in the Mexican league, 119 in 166 games though i've obviously no idea the standard

fancy 4th for Hibs this season

I just think the ST has to be a lose leader though. Get the money off people once they are in the ground. (I realise that’s tricky when must clubs aren’t using their own stadiums). The challenge or getting gates of 500+ every week then grown for them.

    Glasgow City £96

i didn't realise the new league format sees a top/bottom six half way through the season

I think Glasgow City might reclaim the crown this season. Cav is a great signing for the Huns but they've lost Jane Ross to injury and I believe are light at the back.

It's looking likely Celtic will lose Charlie Wellings, apparently she hasn't featured at all in anything pre-season, so they don't have a striker. We've brought in a lot of faces and they seem quite exciting, I think we need to be aiming to be above Celtic and be reaching a final with a 90 min shot at silverware.

Just annoying the first game is away to Celtic and it looks like we're still waiting on some of the new signings arriving.

I think long-term it certainly makes sense so you can develop the fanbase and make it a habit to go see the women, or the Hibs game of choice at the weekend for some fans (like it is for my friend's daughter when he makes her chose one!)

Is this because these clubs supplement the women’s teams

For Rangers it might be because they play at Murray Park.

Good point but I meant financially
I’ve no idea who funds the Ladies game in Scotland and UK at the highest level?

Rangers are moving to that stadium in Cumbernauld. They ares starting to get 200+ most weeks. The WSL is clearly heavily subsidised. Just trying to think of ways to get more fans in. Not many people are going to spend £100 on a womens ST unless its family and friends.

Cheaper is definitely a good way to go, as long as the product on the pitch is worth seeing.

I'd say season ticket add-ons too.

It's currently £8 for an adult and £4 for a child, which isn't bad. But could even make it a tenner for a combined adult and child ticket.

It'll be interesting to see what crowds we can get now we're ateadowbank, but I agree we need to be setting the goal of filling it.

Apparently FC Edinburgh have only sold 10 season tickets or something so we'll probably beat that 😂

They’ll sell out most weeks, nothing available for Dunfermline at home on Saturday

I had a look earlier and I think there are some still on fanbase, but I think when they do sell out a lot of it will be down to Dunfy and Falkirk away supports.

£18 for a ticket makes me think twice though. I paid £12 at Bonnyrigg.

So as I was wrting that most of new signings we were waiting on were undergoing their first training session! 😂

Looks like we're just waiting on Liana Hinds arriving

Hopefully they are ready to be available for Celtic this weekend 🤞🤞

Get your gigantic mugs at Easter Road!

Described as significant so might be a good chunk of change, in relative terms.

Whilst I'm no fan of Mike Ashley, but that article is 6 years old, so maybe things have improved?

Nonetheless I welcome the positive this could have for Hibs and women's football in the oountry.

Getting money in is great, and we perhaps can't be as choosy when its comes to bringing in funds for this part of the club. Its looks horrible on the top mind you.

Looking forward to Sunday with the men's derby at lunchtime and then the women's opener away to Celtic live on Alba at 4pm.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

    another poor result today

    Hibernian 2 Motherwell 3

    Celtic 4 Spartans 0

    Aberdeen 2 Partick Thistle 2

    Glasgow Women 3 Hamilton 4

good result for Rangers winning 4-0 in Greece v PAOK, one more win away from the group stages

  24. #593
Motherwell have Leeanne Crichton involved now but this result is not good.

Another shocking result today to add to the previous disasters. (Losses to Hearts, Spartans, 1st ever losses to Aberdeen, Partick Thistle, Motherwell and losing 9-0 to Celtic plus drawing 2-2 with Hamilton!).

Wonder if the club will make a change of coach soon or whether the staff are accountable to anyone at the club for the resources being spent ? Sadly standards have dropped and they are a mid table team with high player turnover.

The high player turnover is due to the same reason for the dropping standards and pish results.

Don't dare highlight it on twitter or you'll get told off.

It's time the club got it sorted. He's not up to task. However much of a Hibs man he is.

If he is moved on who is going to replace him. There isn’t a queue of people wanting that job.

Eddie Wolecki Black isn't managing right now, Director of Football at Gartcairn.

I'd be up for Grant Scott coming back, although not aware of the circumstances surrounding his departure.

Would either of them be doable?
