Where do the results tonight leave us?
We can get a maximum of 9 points with at least a +8 goal difference with a win tomorrow.

    The teams in each group that can get at least that are;

    Group A

Aberdeen and Raith Rovers could potentially end up on 9 points each. Second placed team wouldn't be above us.

    Group B

Partick Thistle, Kilmarnock and Stenhousemuir could all be on at least 9 points and +8 goal difference. Highly likely the second placed side will finish above us.

    Group C

Ross County and Dunfermline - possible the second placed side could finish above us.

    Group E

Not possible for the second placed team to finish above us.

    Group F

Not possible for the second placed team to finish above us.

    Group G

Not likely for the second placed team to finish above us.

    Group H

Possible that the second placed team could finish above us.

Thanks. So we’ll have to wait until Saturday regardless if we win tomorrow

    Unless Falkirk lose.

I trust a win for us tomorrow and we’re fine? After tonight’s results?
We need a big win to give us a decent chance. Some of the top teams in other groups need to play each other so something will give in those games. I’d still prefer Falkirk to slip up and we could get top spot and be seeded.

Need to try and win by a couple of goals tomorrow. Winning by a goal could leave us in a sketchy position come Saturday

Yes that's correct although I would be pretty shocked if we don't finish as one of the best three runners up with a win tomorrow.

Anything other than a win tomorrow in 90 minutes and we're out unless Falkirk lose to Bonnyrigg and Clyde.

Unfortunately if my understanding is correct, there’s no chance we’ll be seeded. Only 3 of the best finishes in the groups will be seeded along with the 5 European teams. So even if we top the group, it won’t be enough to be seeded

Only the 3 group winners with the best records will be seeded so even if Falkirk lose we'd still need a minor miracle to be one of them.

We won't be seeded regardless only 3 group winners are seeded plus the 5 European teams.

Any sort of a win in 90 mins will do us tomorrow. No danger 3 others are finishing with better than 9 points and a +8 goal difference.

Dunfermline go to Alloa, Away win

Falkirk go to Bonnyrigg. Away win

    What other games concern us?

Kilmarnock beat Stenhousemuir and Partick Thistle beat Montrose and Kilmarnock will finish second in that group and above us.

Queen's Park beating Hamilton and Dundee beating Forfar could see Queen's Park above us.

In reality though it's not going to happen - win in 90 minutes tomorrow and we'll be through.

would love a 2nd for Bonnyrigg

  20. #1189
Bonnyrigg 1-1 Falkirk end of 90 mins.

Falkirk guaranteed at least a point - penalties to come.

  21. #1190
    Falkirk win 4-2 on penalties.

    They get 2 points.

  22. #1191
Was listening to Radio Scotland and it was Mortons first game

They said the team was depleted and relying on youth

Thats a worry Morton should have been battered tonight

  23. #1192
If we win the shootout Falkirk need 2 points v Clyde to top the group, if we lose the shootout they only need 1 point.

just tuned in at HT, i don't think the winner of this tie will progress much further anyway with the winner facing Sparta Prague/Viking

i'm watching snakebite at the darts instead :)
